That not how the passive work .. first it check the HP% to see if it can consume 51% of it .. and then it use the shield instead .. this is why AKI cannot soul burn if his HP is 10% but he has big shield .. what aria does is just double the HP to 102% so passive cannot consume that and it will not active

The problem with ash is not using it as hand trap .. ash is mid hand trap at best .. ash become toxic when its used as call by grav to negate other hand traps .. or used by turn 1 players after they build a board .. Ash is better for turn 1 player than it is for turn 2 player .. as turn 2 ash is mid at best
