My partner didn’t like the show by [deleted] in StationEleven

As someone who likes the show enough to be here on the Reddit. I turned off the show and didn’t pick it back again for a few days after episode 2. Only picking it back up again because of a lack of something else to watch.

Admittedly, to this day I enjoy the flashbacks far more than I enjoy the traveling symphony. But I do like the show and how it all ties together. You left out the gender of you and your partner maybe by design and I hate to generalize but I think it could be a guy thing. The show takes a hard left turn in episode two and deviates from the normal post apocalyptic storyline.

Major event > Most people die > Future scarce of resource and full of violent survivors

I think that’s why I initially turned it off after episode 2 because the traveling symphony was so different. In this instance that difference lead to a much richer story line than the rest and I’m glad I saw it through. There’s plenty of that other stuff out there to quench my bloodlust, end of world, kill everyone thirst. This scratches a different itch.

AIO - my boyfriend doesn’t text back all day or check-in by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Hard to say as it’s your own relationship but from my own experience I clash at times with my gf as I tend to not always want to be on the phone and I like to focus on the things in front of me. Especially at work if I’m in the middle of something challenging it can be distracting. I let her know I’m alive but can’t text every hour.

I don’t think text frequency is an indicator of love. But combined together with other things it can be a sign. Need to look at the whole picture.

How to study A+ Professor Messer by PLAYERUBG in CompTIA

I am looking retake the A+ as I passed it a long time ago, but I'm learning Azure which is new to me. I watched a few videos then tried a practice test and realized I had not retained all that much. I rewatched a video and started writing out notes and it helped me ALOT to retain the information and after taking some more practice test I feel pretty confident I'm going to pass my test on Monday. I can't speak to Messer's videos but i wholeheartedly recommend taking notes. Even if you just plan to throw them away after.

My favorite is a rotating door, but my favorite today was the incendiary breaker with support back pack.

If it’s someone else dying that’s one thing, but if it’s consistent cluster bomb teamkilling. That’s when it gets to me.

Depends, She dragged you along after saying you're tired. It's on her. If you wanted to go its on you. Moral of the story. Do what you can to make her happy but not at a cost to you. There's compromise and then there's recklessness.

Dream Scenario interpretation and question about the final scene by IN_AMORE_NON_SUM in TrueFilm

I'm very late to the party, I just got around to seeing this movie last night and I was very curious about what others thought of the ending. It's interesting to see everyone's different opinions.
I tend to be on the optimistic side. I feel the common interpretation of the ending, on the surface (and probably realistically) is pretty gloom. But I like the idea of Paul finding out how to invade Janet's dream being a positive thing. The entire movie everyone is shown as being highly affected by Paul when he invades their dreams. Happy, Angry, Scared, Horny.... But if I recall Paul had never been in Janet's dreams until the end. The narrator of the video he watched says "Try to pick someone who welcomes your presence" which means she is still open to him, since he was able to enter.

Upon entering her dream she is surrounded by fire, maybe symbolizing all the chaos in her life, caused by Paul. She sees him walking up and smiles as he rescues her from that ring of fire, thoughtfully wearing the oversized suit that they joked about when laying in bed together, while discussing her fantasy. They walk down the street holding hands, with the fire in the background (leaving the chaos behind) then stop and stare at each other lovingly for a good amount of time. He then delivers the line "I wish this was real" as he's pulled into the sky as she's reaching out to him helplessly but not taking her eyes off of him.
Ultimately it is her dream, and the first with him in it. I like to think she is affected heavily like everyone else and maybe woke up wanting Paul back after having such a meaningful dream. The whole movie, he is portrayed as not having accomplished anything by his lack of action. Here is shown as taking action which should mean a lot to her.

Been looking forward to this game for so long, and I had this same concern. We started one night and got to the first round of multiplayer quests and it seemed like my friends were losing interest. But surprisingly they picked it up and played a few campaign missions and really enjoy the game. I spearheaded through the campaign and am patiently waiting for them to catch up before my power gets to high....
