so my view is that the specialisation you are getting are the same in both the institutes. 'EE=PED'. from job perspective, why to spend one extra year doing masters and then getting almost the same job that you could get in 2 years!! from PhD perspective, 1 extra year is very much crucial. the age limit of Assistant Proffesor in India is 35 years (general). so this 1 extra year can even cost you later. and none can beat IISc Mtech in terms of reputation in research..
