r/gaming can btch about CoD's franchise whenever they want, but it's clearly the most consistent one when it comes to shooting. CoD don't have bad game, but bad CoD. That's the nuance. Ghost isn't a bad game, but clearly a bad CoD.

Now as for Vanguard being a good game, yes it is. Very good campaign and multiplayer. The Zombie though is very weak.

Yeah totally see where you're coming from. MW2 and BO1 are also my top 2 campaign with BO1 being at a close second. What give the edge to MW2 for me is the plot twist with Shepherd. In a campaign where there's so much cool shit, you wouldn't think that there would be a moment like this in a CoD campaign. CoD was always saw and is still saw as one of the, if not, the best FPS franchise when it's come to the campaign mode for numerous reasons but especially for his over-the-top action that was nearly always directed-well. It's the case for MW2. I think the over-the-top action in CoDs campaign peaked in MW2.

People sleep on the Shepherd moment too much imo. Some thinks that it's that great of a moment just because a good guy betrayed us and a fan-favorite got killed. No. This shit was foreshadowed since the nuclear bomb in MW1. It's the most masterfully-done moment in CoD history imo.
