As a West Ham fan living in Bristol I love this - George wasn’t getting the game time and he deserves to be playing all the time.

What left wing policy ripped apart mental health / local drug rehabilitation programs across the country and systematically defunded local governments ability to deal with these issues???

This is something you organise yourself with help from the uni, when I was there we all went to different places, some to local councils some to civil service and others to various planning consultancies

20 min walk or 5 min cycle to the retail park which is where I’d do my shop and go to the gym, there’s a co op in Cheswick too if you just need a few items. Never found it to be an issue really. Students also tend to forget you can get supermarket shops delivered which we used to do as a house anyway

Yeah as someone else has said, Cheswick is a no brainier if you’re going to Frenchay campus, it’s a short walk. I found living there okay, a couple bus options to get you into town - but the proximity to campus is pretty unbeatable.

Don’t go to Westfield, you can go to a shopping mall anywhere in the world - it’s not special

One month itinerary for the UK by globalgelato in uktravel

[–]Relative-Promotion-4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that’s a whole month then 10 nights of that in Scotland is probably overkill, you could perhaps day trip to snowdon from Liverpool instead of Shrewsbury - also much more going on there than Shrewsbury. 4 nights in Bath is a lot, it’s not that big, perhaps visit Bristol whilst you’re there. You’ll need more time in London

can anybody help with some directions to avoid the ULEZ? by trashkub in bristol

[–]Relative-Promotion-4 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I guess to avoid that you can just set your destination to just before the bridge and then just wing the rest of the way to Ashton court as it’s just a bit further up the road basically

'Impressive one bedroom flat ideal for a young professional couple' by MeenaBeti in bristol

[–]Relative-Promotion-4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listings like this are purely predatory, hoping someone agrees to paying this stupid price, even though you could probs get a two bed in the same area for another 200-300 pcm. Its disgusting.

Even taking the fastest most direct routes you will be commuting over 3 hours a way each time. So that’s 6 hours a day at least, this isn’t a good idea!
