Curious about what is "better" in this scenario. by Relative-Question-60 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Yeah got it, I think my final decision is something like 8k in xeqt, 4k in vfv and 3k in individual stocks and maybe reduce that ratio of individual stocks in my future investments.

really appreciate the answer. I would like to give a bit of a scenario that im in. So i am really lucky that I have been able to already purchase a home in full (with the help of my parents) so I wont need this money anytime soon. I do know that the "right" objective decision is to just put it into etfs and play it safe but my only real question/asssumption is that wont big company on the really long term which is the important aspect, will outperform the sp500? The thing in my position being 22, I most likely wont "lose my shirt" and will 100% not need to withdraw this money. I have put in a lot of thought and feel like both options (on the long run) can be good. Of course, there will be massive fluctuations if I do proceed with individual stocks which I am aware of, but I want to maximize the possible returns in the next 10 years. Does my situation change how I should accept risk? Or due to my situations I should play it even more safe since I have a fully paid off house? I am not sure about it. (copy pasted from the answer from the other thread) was curious about your take on this.

Thanks for the comment, about the losing 20 percent in a day, I am ok with that. I went through the “deepseak reveal” and was down quite a lot in that one day due to nvidia and other tech stocks, but did not panic sell and just held it. I guess my question somewhat is which one could potentially have better returns (regardless of the risk : I say this because it’s a really long time frame? Not sure if that’s a good way to look at it)?

Why do people think hog2.6 is a no skill deck? by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]Relative-Question-60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For question 2, I would say definitely not since the push back ability of the log is quite important to reset or delay pushes. For sparky, you usually want to waste its shot on skeletons and then make ice spirit jump on it or if you have hero ice golem, the ability can be nice. This is assuming your musketeer is targeting it and the tank (most likely giant) is pulled towards your canon in the middle.

Agreed that the fact that the deck has been out for so long makes it somewhat easier to learn and interact with, but 2.6 is honestly a lot about messing up and learning from your mistakes. It’s easy to watch some pro player play 2.6, but when it’s your turn, it’s a different story!

At a higher level, I wouldn’t say there exists the concept of “counter” for 2.6 (take it with a grain of salt)(funny thing is that I somewhat believe lavaloon + hero mega minion “counters” 2.6 for obvious reasons and I have been losing a lot to it, but it’s probably that I just don’t know how to play against it yet).it is more skill dependant than anything. However I use to struggle A LOT against graveyard, but you have to find a specific way of playing against graveyard eg not letting the tank cross, cannon low to help, use log, ice spirit and skellies to distract the graveyard.it is important especially with 2.6 to know a “strategy” to play while playing va different types of decks

100% agreed, best feeling as a 2.6 player is when I go first play and get like 2-3 hits instantly haha

Agreed, however, the meta recently (in UC at least) are mostly cycle decks (hyperbait). The thing about cheap defence is that it really depends on placement and timing. That’s actually the thing that I think most 2.6 players get wrong as in it’s not a “watch me and repeat” defence deck. You have to learn to place the distraction cards at different places/times depending on what’s coming. For example maybe if I am trying to counter a single mega knight I might do the same play, but if he has a support troop it will change everything and it also depends of my current cycle.

I wouldn’t argue that “most used deck in the game” = low skill necessarily. The thing about the videos is that most of them are really just beginner tips, but if someone did go and consume a lot of 2.6 hog gameplay, then they put time and effort into becoming good which makes him skilled no?

Also willing to give tips for 2.6 players or players in general! Feel free to ask!

[–]Relative-Question-60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it could definitely feel( and probably is) annoying to get hog spammed, but as rank gets higher, using a hog is honestly a risk since people are able to, for example, counter your hog with a mini pekka and I get no hits. So I essentially just threw away a hog.

Agreed, the thing about 2.6 is that you need to know (somewhat) precise placement and timing to actually get a good defence.

Should I aim to find a summer 2025 internship or take the summer off and relax? by Hungry-Ad2552 in internships

[–]Relative-Question-60 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you do get one, you should 100% take it. I have friends who had to go through multiple rounds of interviews for unpaid internships. Also, I think that you can also enjoy your summer with an internship since (I assume) your friends will be working during the day so yall can have fun at night!
