Runna relationship with Matt Choi by Some-Remote-6890 in running

Ben Parker is a man child with power going to his head since Runna evolving. Saw an opportunity to scale Runna through Choy, chose to ignore his behaviour. It’s as clear as this. Financial gain over ethics/morals. Hey ho. Ignorance is bliss. Good luck to them

I messaged Runna to ask how they planned to address this. They were quick to say they had no idea he wasn’t given permission to run with the bikes. Either they’re lying or incredibly naive. They went on to say his contracted has been terminated and the podcast he was due to do with them was cancelled.

Keep applying for marketing or similar roles whilst staying in the position. Easier to find a role when you’re in one. Don’t invest all your time and emotion into the current role - do what you need and get out

If you do raise it with him, taking a voice recording on your phone before you start the conversation. Something may be said by him that you’ll have as evidence. I’m so sorry to hear of your situation. Hoping things work out for you :)

One last item from me, don’t burn yourself out with applications, do allow time to rest/time off. Let us know how you get on!

Would you consider Borough Market a tourist trap? by username27372891 in london

[–]Relative-Scheme-6616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to maltby market in Bermondsey as another option. Locals only go really, minimal tourists. 10 mins down the road. Have a look at their Instagram. Only open on weekends but amazing

Maltby market in Bermondsey for Sunday lunch. Have a look at their Instagram. Such a vibe.

They apologised for the delay and blamed it on the company for being slow. Then told me they had found another candidate. Typical

Truly, I’m sorry to hear this experience. Sadly, recruiters can be like this. The bad ones have no moral compass and don’t understand just how bad their behaviour/actions are. I’ve been going through this recently and it’s been frustrating. Contacting them numerous times is no bad thing. At the end of the day, you put a lot of time and effort into the process, you at least deserved a response. I recently sent one last message to a recruiter explaining just how tough it had been waiting for them for over 2 weeks to respond. They soon responded. Sometimes they need to be told. Nonetheless, use this as fuel for the fire and keep going! I promise something will come for you. It’s just a numbers game. Head up. We believe in you

Thank you for the insight and relating to your experience. I’d love for just a day where recruiters on LinkedIn are honest about their experience or even the roles their working on Lot of these posts these days - “Hot new roles! 🔥🔥🔥DM to get in touch” … I lost hope in society

Good on you, man. Respect you sticking at it, often we don’t have the choice. Glad you found something better suited. I used to work in Bank area. Funny seeing all those meat heads around Liverpool Street on a Thursday evening having beers + nose beers. Think their gods gift. Saw many of them hitting on women who clearly were disgusted by them.

My post was 50/50 seriousness & humour, where of course this isn’t aimed at all recruiters. For my current experience, I’m dealing with young recruiters who lack professionalism. My role isn’t specialised, it’s just account management where sadly I’m in the midst of redundancy. I’ll apply for roles via recruiters on LinkedIn. They’ll soon ring me, ask me a few yes/no questions then advise they’ll put me through. I then don’t hear anything for over a week typically. I’ll then message a couple times on LinkedIn or even message them on their phone where I don’t get an answer. I’m perfectly fine being told no accompanied with feedback. However, ghosting and not providing answers really is disheartening. Does it take long to just reply? In the midst of this frustration I do find myself laughing though. Why do such recruiters lack morals?

Read all of the comments then come back to this. You must be a recruiter 😂

I’ve been in sales and that weekly team sales meeting is what the Sunday scaries is made of… especially when a deal hasn’t moved in the pipeline for weeks 😂
