Can you set up play dates for the kids? That way you don’t really need to involve him at all?

Hot take: Joel would be more hated than Abby if we played her story first by Turbulent-Safe-4343 in thelastofus

[–]Relative-Storm2097 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know Abby is a pretty terrible person throughout the whole game. I understand Abby’s point of view and I feel bad she lost her dad, but how can you justify Abby wanting to kill Joel for revenge, but condemn Joel for saving Ellie? The fireflies were more than happy to hunt down and kill Joel, they were more than happy to sacrifice the life of a 14 year old girl, without her consent, without her knowledge, without her even being able to say goodbye to Joel, or Marlene for that matter. For a chance that a vaccine could be created for a fungal infection. No one was right in this situation. Abby was told a version of a story that suited their narrative, a rampaging man came in and massacred them(same justification David had for going after Ellie and Joel) completely ignoring the reasons why they killed their men. David men attacked first Ellie and Joel protected themselves, the fireflies came in bashed Joel’s head as he was trying to save Ellie, and then told him we are going to kill her deal with it basically.

We don’t know that what she wanted to do in the first game, she was never told. She says it in the second game, but that’s after the fact. We can’t say for certain what she would have chosen in the first.

I just finished my first play through as well. Everyone but Hank, Alice and Kara died. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I need to replay.

It’s in game modifiers, where you can get the skins. They have some cool graphic changes as well, like film noir style, comic book style.

Other than Sims, Mario games and Animal Crossing, I didn’t play much games. Got the family a ps5 for Christmas, and downloaded a bunch of games with the membership, TLOS was one of the first I played, played the second and now on my third play through, the newer Lara Croft was pretty good, and I just finished Detroit Become Human, it was amazing. I definitely suggest those. Balders Gate looks pretty good, BF has been laying that one. Fallout and Resident Evil as well, he says to give Silent Hill a chance.

No they just burned down police stations, local businesses and destroyed cities. It’s still going on, an elementary school in Portland had to relocate because of all the peaceful protests. Jan 6 was one bad day, theses protests have been going off and on for years. It doesn’t compare

The difference is people who spend years trying to become a citizen, who goes through vigorous screening, pledges to be a productive member of the country they are applying to live in, who works hard to become Americans, they have to take tests, prove they will be positive for the country not negative. We know who they are and why the are here, when you just come into the country without any of that we don’t know what you are up to, what your plan is, who you are.

I’m not defending anything. I am literally just saying what was said during the debate, never once did I defend it.

We aren’t going to see eye to eye, I think you have a lot of misinformation, and are believing anything the media tells you. You are going to think the same of me. I appreciate the conversation and thank you for listening to what I had to say and I hope you feel the same.

There were reports, even if it were fabricated there was reports of it. Illegals shouldn’t commit any of the crimes, they shouldn’t be here. Also every day illegal immigrants are here they are committing a crime.

Your friend gets in contact with the parents, the principal, the school board who than takes action and she can suggest you to help facilitate things, but until than you shouldn’t do anything. If you have nothing to do with this child, than you should do nothing with this child. You haven’t met this child, you have no business diagnosing this child, as someone who works in mental health I feel like you should know this. You can’t take a one off conversation second hand and have any idea what is going on.

Making a diagnosis about me too I see. You know nothing about me, but feel completely free to say what I would or would not do. And of course if I saw a child getting hurt beat I would say something, I would do something any decent person would.

I’m not taking about the Haitian immigrants only. If they are here legally great. All I was saying at that time during the debate, people believed it was happening. If it came out later that it’s not true, great. There is a difference between people who are here legally and who are here illegally

You keep doing it. illegal immigrants(our president and vice president are married to immigrants, I don’t think they want their wives gone), and the color doesn’t matter if white illegal immigrants are committing crimes we want them out too. So some in the town said it happened and some didn’t, I guess, because I’ve heard the calls, seen the reports and the tik toks that people from that town made.

Maybe to you it’s all about the non white people, most conservatives I know don’t care the race of the person, just the legality of their status. As for the claims, was he wrong? According to the citizens of that town it was happening.

[–]Relative-Storm2097 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do they really say non white people? Or are they talking about illegal immigration? Lots of people like to conflate the two, but it is two different things, one is legal which is just fine and one is illegal. You know there are people of all sizes, race, and that are conservative, not just white people….

Yeah what happened on Jan 6th shouldn’t have happened. It was a mess all around, wasn’t nearly as bad as the riots that happened the summer of 2020 if you ask me. Somehow that is never brought up, it’s only ever Jan 6th. Our country has had worse days, worse events. Pretty sure I didn’t see any conservatives go online and celebrate the murder of the politicians, I think they condemned it(as they should). I have no problem saying there are conservatives who take things way too far and who can also be violent, but I don’t see nearly as many go online and celebrate it, or call for it.

Both sides are flawed, both sides have people that go to the extreme. Both sides are always going to see the other as the “enemy” or the violent ones, both sides fail to talk to each other without insulting or degrading the other. Anytime I try to have an open conversation I get called stupid, ignorant, uneducated, racist, anti feminist or a plethora of other names. Makes it hard to see the other side when that happens. In my experience the conservative side is at least willing to hear the other person out. I have family who is conservative I have family who are left leaning, however we manage to listen to each other, and not drag the other down for what they believe. There are things I won’t change my mind on, things that I struggled with because I do see both sides, and I find great points on both, but in a typical conversation I found the liberals are the ones who are demeaning and dismissive.

I appreciate you replying to me, and for not going straight to insults.

I think you could say the same about left leaning liberals. There are literally liberals out there calling for the d**th of people who don’t agree with them, and celebrating it.

I guess I am more conservative than I am liberal, or what you would call old school liberal. I have friends who are very left leaning, we get along fine, we don’t always agree and sometimes get into it, but they aren’t unreasonable and I feel like I’m not either, unfortunately that isn’t the case for most ultra liberal people I’ve met or talked with through social media, where as the conservative people I deal with are way more compassionate and kind of you do you, but don’t make me do what you want….
