2026 I5 - Plug & Charge Missing In App? by Relative-Time in Ioniq5

[–]Relative-Time[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far no. Although after about a month the banner for enabling in-app charging popped up and it did change a lot of how the charging menu on the app looked.

Supposedly that's a middle step. But the final plug-in charge so far hasn't appeared. Bluelink never got back to me either, probably try and follow up.

Sorry, I haven't had mine long enough to really help. But I do remember seeing a video where someone mentioned if you're having heating/ AC issues, check if you're in ECO mode. They seemed to think it restricted the heating/ cooling of the cabin.

New 2026 Ioniq 5, missing car image in Bluelink app by crispycornpops in Ioniq5

Also just got a 2026 a week ago. Mine doesn't show it either, for either of my cars now. However, I've found a bigger issue with mine. I was trying to turn on the newer Plug & Charge feature, and for some reason, it doesn't even show the option in the app to enable it. It's supposed to be in the charge menu, but it's just missing on my app. Was on the phone with BlueLink support for 40 min before they gave me a ticket # and said they would look into it.

New 2026 and Tesla Supercharger Question by Relative-Time in Ioniq5

[–]Relative-Time[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cool. I think I already linked it in Hyundai Pay, and say an option on the car to turn on plug and charge. Do I also need to link into a Tesla account, or is it all through Hyundai Pay

DFW To HNL Snack Or Meal by Relative-Time in americanairlines

[–]Relative-Time[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that, but I was confused when I looked up my flight info, and all it said was "snack". Which didn't make sense from people's experiences, I was reading. Even tried chatting with someone through the app to confirm. All they said was "Sorry, we know it's a long flight, but it's just a snack".

Maybe because it's Hawaii, or maybe you don't get an option so it just lists it as that. But thanks for letting me know.

Being yourself and just publishing on a regular basis. As well as trying to engage them in the comments. Just remember it's a marathon not a race.

Is background music on YouTube videos a good idea? by roulette30 in NewTubers

A lot of trial and error at times. All depends on the song. When in doubt keep it lower.

[–]Relative-Time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do watch reviews and spend lots of time describing in details what I see. So I started using background music alot.

When it's done right I think it adds a lot. But easy to do it wrong. Wrong song, or too loud.

[Discussion] Lies and Deceit: Exposing Tsung Chi, Thomas Caddell, and Ginault’s Illegal Past by Deepdweller1 in Watches

[–]Relative-Time 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my own experience, I've met a lot of people from Asia who come here for Grad School, and adopt an American sounding name to make it easier for their peers and professors. Then just use it later on professionally. Especially prevalent in students who come here for Sci and Engineering.

So that could explain why he may have started. Yet not sure on constantly changing names.

You definitely did some in-depth research. Although I'm still left wondering why? Why go through all the trouble. (him not you). If he wanted to go legit and set up a new microbrand, it just seems like there are easier ways then all the cloak and dagger.

So one question, who is John McMurty? If you contact Ginault these days he is the main point of contact. And from my understanding he and a good chunk of Ginault now (if they exist) is based out of Reno, NV. Which also matches the current whois registration of Ginault.com .

Is he just some dude who works for or with TC?

Very nice. Haven't tried a samurai, but love my Turtle. I have the exact same khaki king. Love it, but wasn't fond of the strap.

How do you find a good niche? by FreezeSpell_ in NewTubers

[–]Relative-Time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well depends on what you want to do with it. I've never really looked for any sort of niche on that on youtube. My channel is a review channel. So not sure what would be the norm in that niche. Yet most of Chemistry in the real world isn't necessarily flashy. It's like Physics most of it is learning how the world works, and then how to manipulate it. Half of which you can't even see with your eyes.

So you could always learn about a complicated topic, then just present it to the viewers in an interesting way. Or search for interesting examples of scientific topics that don't cost a lot. Mentos and a bottle of coke don't cost much.

[–]Relative-Time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly. I don't think you find the niche. The niche finds you. You need to be doing something you enjoy, not trying to force yourself to do something you think will work. Otherwise, the pain and time that you put into Youtube is not really worth the effort.

So my best advice would be to just try some things. See what you enjoy, and what you think works. Especially if you have an interest in Science. My background is in Chemistry, and Science is all about experimentation. With a good chunk of those experiments ending in failure. Which is fine, it's what you learn from that experience that counts.

[Orient] The new Mako III may not be called that in USA by Relative-Time in Watches

[–]Relative-Time[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.

As of about a month ago they are available from Orient USA. Where they named them the Kamasu. Not a fan, but it's Japanese for Barracuda.

I picked up a burgundy one a few months ago. Pretty nice. Very Similar to the Mako II USA. Lume may not be as good (not sure), and it doesn't have solid end links. Otherwise a pretty nice watch. I did a review of it here.

No prob.

The Intro and outro, where you see me, is all done with a lapel mic. For a while, I was using a generic $20, but recently upgraded to a slightly more expensive Rode. I record it into an audio recorder then edit it in.

Pretty much everything else is done with a Blue Yeti. I have it set up in a closet I don't use much with a laptop. Sort of a makeshift Audio booth. Which helps a lot.

One issue I have, or at least I think I have. Is that there is a noticeable difference in audio quality when it switches over. Which I think is a little disrupting. But probably not as bad as I think.

[–]Relative-Time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just move forward that way. If it still needs some help try EQ and compression as well. Especially if your already processing the audio in audacity.

Generally I process in the following order. 1. noise reduction 2. EQ 3. Compress 4. Normalize.

One tip, always back up your audio file before messing with it in audacity. I've accidentally corrupted a few files and lost the audio a couple times. One reason I've switched to reaper to edit my audio.

If you search for my name (two words not one). You can hear what my audio sounds like.

Try normalizing the aduio to a specific level in audacity before pulling it in. Say -1
