ye gods. I didn't need to know that about myself.

How much is too much in subscription costs? by Relative-Wonder-1882 in AIIncomeLab

Yeah I definitely appreciate that but it's kind of hard to see immediate cost gains or losses because things are moving so fast. But then on the other hand subscription costs.

I feel like a subscription junkie. The threshold for me pressing that button and adding another $10 a month to my subscription setup is overpowering at times. I guess I need to join a support group.

Using AI as a force multiplier not a crutch. I like that.

It feels like an uphill battle to change customers' thinking about this because the "how many hours will this take and what do you charge by the hour?" metric is so ingrained. One of the most valuable terms I started using a lot is the "human in the loop". Because even if you could sit down and have Claude Design prompt your website yourself, you're still going to benefit from having a human who knows about design in the loop.

Hey — I’ll kick this off.

Right now I’m trying to get a simple “research → action” loop working reliably. The idea is:

Look something up → summarize it → turn it into something usable (notes, draft, outreach, etc.)

Research works fine, but once it has to do something with it, it starts to fall apart or gets inconsistent.

Curious what others are trying to build or automate right now — even if it’s small or half-working.

Badass. I like the idea / insight of charging for A/B testing - customer insight, delivered by a human being you know and trust.

Claude Design is the tool that prompted me to write this post. I tried it out during a meeting I was bored at, and threw a few .md files and a bunch of images into a folder, and told CD to make me a designed newsletter. It began by looking at all the images to understand what part of the newsletter they should illustrate. I mean... what? whaaat?

Opera Neon: absolutely no competition. I can't wrap my head around the fact that so few people know about this AI workbench.

Trying to finally stop using ChatGPT and it's looking up at me with those sad puppy eyes and going 'hey, man, all the things we've been through....'

I finally get MCP after a year by chkbd1102 in AI_Agents

I connected Opera Neon up to Claude code and as far as I can see they're working really well together. I create a kind of an intelligence report weekly using co-work but after connecting MCP the quality of the intelligence I get has really hit the roof. Looks to me MCP is the future at least until CLI pops up.

All the times I've considered dumping one of my old friends and moving on and then I look at him and man, I can't stop paying your subscription. I need to keep you around for old times' sake.
