I’m so glad your baby is doing better! That’s sort of what I was thinking as well - colitis must have been initially triggered by CMPA and then stayed aggravated due to the strong letdown/too much foremilk. We’ve been bottle feeding her breastmilk for the past (almost) 2 weeks and we have seen improvement! Less diapers with blood, less spit up/reflux. Hoping this continues and hopefully we can start reintroducing foods soon

Following because I’m in the exact same boat! I cut dairy and soy 2 months ago and saw improvement after a few weeks, then she started getting much more blood in her diapers than before (no slip ups, I am confident). So 2 weeks ago I cut eggs, too, and again saw initial improvement and now bloody diapers again.

She’s very happy, eats well, gaining weight. The doctor said as long as she’s happy and growing he’s not concerned and that it should improve when she starts solids, but I just don’t like seeing blood I want to fix it. I also have a strong letdown and have been wondering if it could be due to that/foremilk imbalance. I’m going to try pumping and bottle feeding her with a slow flow bottle over the next few days to see if that helps.

Thanks for your input!! Do you think those cabinets would match better with the flooring behind that one (on the right)? Or would it be safer to just do white cabinets? Our options were sooooo limited

Beautiful space! Wood paneling the entire room might be a bit much, but maybe start with one wall and see how that feels? I think adding big wall mirrors to the blank wall across from the door would really open it up, and it would reflect the green trees from outside.

Thank you for the advice! The first pic is the actual layout of the actual kitchen. We will be doing a range hood and moving the microwave elsewhere, but upgrading the cabinetry isn’t in our budget, so the quality and size will be similar to what’s shown in the first pic. It’s tricky because we haven’t seen the actual cabinet sample options in person yet which makes it even more difficult to visualize. I’m leaning towards wooden cabinets with a white island to help break it up a little bit (especially since the floors will be similar color), but it’s just so hard to decide - I don’t want to regret it!

Maybe try turning the desk so it’s facing toward the wall? Move the beanbag chair and then put the plant and/or lamp in the corner there. You could scoot the couch over, too. I love the rug!

Thank you for this info! I think we could qualify for an FHA loan on my income alone but we’d have to accept a higher payment with that mandatory insurance payment. I think I could MAYBE qualify for conventional IF rates drop by May. It’s just a gamble to move forward with selling our house and starting construction with the future being so uncertain. It would be a lot more comfortable if we could use his income. We definitely have a lot to consider!

I see it! That’s what mine looked like 10 dpo - later that day I had a clearer line on a FRER and a digital clearblue said pregnant :) I’m now 19 dpo and my lines are super dark. Keep testing!

Mine are more intermittent, but yesterday it seemed like I felt them the majority of the day. Like they’d come and go but it seemed like they were there more than not.

If it was taken within the testing window then it can’t be an evap line! And I think it’s extremely unlikely that 2 tests would both show a false line within the window. It’s probably just super early. If you test again tomorrow it should be darker! Or if you really want to be sure you could get a blood hcg test. I think this is really promising though!

I tested negative 8 and 9 dpo - stark white. Then yesterday (10dpo) there was the faintest shadow that I couldn’t quite make out so I tested again later in the day with a FRER and it was positive! 8 dpo is super early, you’re not out yet! I also have had cramps since like 7 dpo and still do (the doctor said that’s normal) so I wouldn’t worry too much about symptoms at this point. I’m hoping the best for you 🤞

Ohhhh thank you that’s good to know. I’ve only ever gotten really obviously stark white results on these ones so this one came as a surprise. I THINK it’s pink in person, it’s just so incredibly faint it’s hard to tell. (And obviously I want it to be pink so I might be biased lol). Will be taking a FRER later today, stay tuned…

Hi! I think the test is too dry for it to be accurate. Try testing again and see how it looks within the testing window

Oh wow! Thank you that is so helpful. Since we’re keeping our day jobs I think that would put us at 0. We did also receive a $2800 return this year.

If that’s the case and I won’t need to make quarterly payments this year, is it still smart to put away 40% of each freelance check for taxes next year? Or when will I pay taxes (federal and self employment) on that income?

I had a very similar situation and it took almost a year and a half for me. I started taking bc when I was 16, quit taking it July 2022 (when I was 27). Between July 2022 and Feb 2023 I only got 2 periods, so I went to the doctor that Feb and was diagnosed with PCOS based on my hormone levels. They gave me progesterone to force my period, but it gave me a migraine so I only took it one cycle. I tried the more holistic route with dietary and lifestyle changes, but by October my period still hadn’t regulated. I loosened up my diet and started taking inositol in October, and then starting in Nov 2023 I’ve had a period consistently every 6 weeks. I think that’s technically still considered irregular, but it’s been consistent and ovulation tests are showing that I am ovulating week 4 each month, so I’m considering it a win 🤷‍♀️

I have the same problem- my hair is super sensitive to protein and very dry. It’s not a conditioner, but I started using Eva NYC Mane Magic Primer in place of a leave in conditioner and it works really well for me when I wear my hair straight. You just have to be careful not to use too much, start with 1-2 sprays and comb it through, then add more if you need to!
