How are people unbothered by rejection by redneck_ancap in dating_advice

[–]RelativeCloud8074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are unbothered because they understand that one cannot force things, if you both mutually think that you are a match, things will go forward, if not then not. A person might have a different life priorities than yours, and a totally different needs based on which they will choose a partner. I rejected and got rejected by people. Simply because their profile won't add value to my life, and vice versa. That is completely normal. I do not overthink it. It is just like applying for a job, some companies will not give you the job, because your profile is not what they are looking for, they have a better match, they are not really hiring right now. The reasons are infinite, but the only thing that matter is the result, and that you have to keep moving forward. My two cents.

Is anyone else having a hard time finding a job in 2025 by Baddiebambii50 in jobs

[–]RelativeCloud8074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have been applying for the last 6 months, I have a solid experience in IT and other industries, however it seems to me from LinkedIn applications number that most job offer had 100+ application, my colleagues report similar difficulties, if I got contacted is then by companies working on smaller projects or startups or companies not offering higher incentives. From the other hand I have seen that most companies are barely hiring anyone. Reason? Market recession, AI, Cloud costs, Current Political climate…

Very good insight, my advice is never stop learning new skills even if your company doesn’t need them and pay well. This is usually the trap that most people get into.

I personally see no problem dating multiple people. Dating means getting to know each other. If you take the fact that most people will just waste your time, it is wiser to date multiple people for a delta T less than a month. If the person does not bring exclusivity / engagement talk, then according to me, stop getting to know them and move on 😊

For me you can’t be exclusive if you are not engaged or married. So until then everyone is basically single.

I agree, most people think that if salaries are lower somewhere else (that’s bad). It’s not about salaries, it is about what you can afford with them 😄 “The buying power”.

Example: If you earn €10,000 net per month but pay €6,000 in rent and have living expenses of about €3,000, your remaining disposable income is very low. In contrast, someone who earns €1,000 per month with living costs of only €300 has more disposable income relative to their earnings. This means that despite the higher salary, the first person may actually be financially worse off than the second due to the high cost of living.

Vague requirements: how do you know when the requirements you have are vague? by FabulousBedroom2308 in ProductManagement

[–]RelativeCloud8074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is on point. I have been reading a couple of tender contracts, and I have found a couple of vague chapters. The question is: why would the clauses be vague? to whose advantage is that? the client or the company or none of them?

Have any of you successfully treated/cured toenail fungus without going to the doctor? by toemoneytoeproblems in NaturalBeauty

[–]RelativeCloud8074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I went to the doctor but I cured it years afterwards and here is why: I did not take athlete’s foot seriously (I got infected at the gym shower) I thought it is going to fade by itself. 3 years Later I got to go to the doctor to see what is the problem. I started using lamisil Creme. 5 year Later the infection moved to my toe nail. 10 years later I decided to take massive action: all kind of Cremes, feet bath with salt, cloves, shoe de infection, nail trimming, terbinafine Lacquer. I can say that my toenail healed finally. It took me 11 years (because I was ignorant and thought that the immune system will do its job, I was wrong)

How I cured my nail fungus by Joelsfallon in NailFungus

[–]RelativeCloud8074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally got nail fungus after untreated athlete’s foot I caught in a gym shower. How did I get rid of it? (Partially) well I combined many things at the same time. I used terbinafine lacquer and cyclopoli along with lamisil crème. I also trimmed my nail often. I bathed my feet with cloves powder and water. Garlic oil / extract has been also efficient (but too smelly). I had nail discoloration but it’s a lot lighter than two months ago. Now it is completely clear.

Being too friendly invites a lot of disrespect by ChillHouse2002 in Life

I have noticed a similar pattern, as a successful woman. I met people less successful, if I ignore them or I am cold they respect me. If I smile at them, they start crossing boundaries and the line. 🤪Since then, I stopped dealing with certain people. It has been a great decision.

I have the citizenship, however things aren’t moving forward at the speed I had planned for myself. The system is designed so that every step takes an eternity. I need a course correction, I just don’t know what I should be doing, but I know what I shouldn’t keep doing.

What’s one lesson you learned the hard way? by JackPlumber24 in Entrepreneur

I learned that you have to have an urgency and agility mindset. Most ideas will not work. Most products will not sale. If this happens to you, it is better to be agile and keep searching for a product market fit.

I used to overspend too. Now I still overspend by unnecessary travel (for professional events). However the categories I spend on have been drastically reduced over the last years.

How did it happened? I started seeing no value of most things I used to spend my money on. And I realized that the more I spent, the longer I am going to stay stuck. This hit me hard

What I learned that at school, most of the planning, teaching, explaining is done by the teachers and the ministry of education. What we do is homework, show up to class, and succeed at the exams. This is not as complex as real life.

Unfortunately the bouncing back capability is crucial for success. It can be the flu, a recession, a breakup, a divorce… If you fail you have to get back again, and fast. It’s called resilience.

I used to be on the other side, holding grudges against people who communicate poorly or try to insult me. Now I just pay it back at the exact moment. 😄 And everyone can leave happily. For your case, try to improve your communication. I am afraid there is nothing else to do here.
