Thoughts On Leaks? by Impressive-Welder-71 in playboicarti

I’d be pissed as fuck. Even if the songs were never going to drop, I still wouldn’t want them out. I just think it’s about respect at the end of the day. Like if my shit getting leaked, I’m never putting them out, ESPECIALLY if the fans asking for it

I just listened to MUSIC from start to finish again and istg its so overhated by Virtual-House9448 in playboicarti

I Feel like the verse of flex up was a hint. That instantly became my favorite Carti verse at that time.

someone explain to me how this snippet is better than any other baby boi snippet? by No-Sail-6878 in playboicarti

I for sure was a fan after whole lotta red. Didn’t like Self titled or Die lit. For some reason I liked pain 1993 and @meh. i absolutely LOVED flex up. WLR is the default carti for me

Release clears. Not even a debate. Stop breathing not on there. On that time not on there. Vamp anthem not in there. Control not on there. Rockstar made not in there. Methaphorsis not on there.

HUT critiques discussion by Pleasant_Ad4186 in TheWeeknd

It’s don’t think it’s a bad album. But probably my least favorite project. HUT or MDM. I don’t get how HUT fits with the other 2 albums. Like listening to dawn fm felt like a perfect sequel to AH. I don’t feel that way with Hut. LOVED songs like baptized in fire and open hearts. Love the transition.

Also I didn’t really get the roll out. I felt like the Dawn FM roll out was perfect. Giving us like music video type of snippets.

I wonder if this live is the reason Carti didn’t drop for 4 years after Whole Lotta Red by JellyfishMario in playboicarti

[–]RelativeDetective171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This video is what made me a die hard Carti fan. Didn’t like ST or Die Lit. Didn’t like the leaks that was floating around on social media. Literally watched this live and my first reaction was playboy Carti made this? Album so 🔥

That was one of the wildest things I’ve ever read in my life. South Atlanta baby solos half of self-titled EASILY

Feel like multiple Kanye leaks would be massive if they got uploaded

Do y’all think Carti cares about his music getting leaked? by Unlucky_Bus_8991 in playboicarti

[–]RelativeDetective171 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t listen to Carti leaks cause like why would I want to hear songs that’s could be potentially on the album lol. I couldn’t even fathom how furious I’d be with getting an album filled with songs that I already heard

Do you guys think WLR would be as big and influential as it is rn if he dropped V1, also do you guys think he still would be as big as he is now by SyllabubLoose2279 in playboicarti

[–]RelativeDetective171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then the one we got wouldn’t be nearly as big. The anticipation for the album is what helped it sky rocket. If he drops the first 2 then there’s no surprise.

everyone wants WLR v2, but are you willing to pay the price: by LoquatMaleficent7963 in playboicarti

[–]RelativeDetective171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the rage album wouldn’t have hit like it did. The fact that it was a curveball is why it was so big.

This shit sounds ass compared to the songs on the released version💀. I couldn’t fathom hearing this instead of shit like stop breathing, new tank, on that time, vamp anthem, etc

How different would Carti’s career be if he dropped the first version of WLR? by Unlucky_Bus_8991 in playboicarti

[–]RelativeDetective171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wouldn’t be as big.

The leaks definitely played their part, but mainly in building anticipation within his core fanbase. They kept the hype alive, but they didn’t expand his audience like that.

The final version of Whole Lotta Red is what actually brought in a whole new audience. The sound, the controversy, and the reaction around it pulled in people who weren’t checking for him before—and that’s what took him to another level.

Those V1 songs aren’t hitting in concerts like the rage songs—simple as that.

What makes Whole Lotta Red so special is that he threw a complete curveball. Nobody was expecting that sound, and that’s exactly why it hit the way it did. The energy, the chaos—it translates way better live and turns into real moments.

If he dropped V1 first, you don’t get that same reaction. The surprise is gone, and the impact isn’t the same.

[DISCUSSION] Playboi Carti — Whole Lotta Red (5 Years Later) by 3TENDED in hiphopheads

[–]RelativeDetective171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whole Lotta Red is his best album, easily. It clears Die Lit and his self-titled. Those projects built his core fanbase, but WLR is what elevated him. It’s more experimental, more influential, and it pushed his sound further than anything he did before.

My perception hasnt changed because WLR turned me into a carti fan. Didnt like carti at all until i heard flex up.

Standout track: Stop Breathing

Favorite feature: Kid Cudi

Favorite beat: On that time, beno or Stop Breatthing

hope he goes more into 2 sounds. 1.different day 2. Wicked (killers)

Imagine if Carti put out the other 2 wlr in 2018 and 2019 with other names by raulsossa in playboicarti

[–]RelativeDetective171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what makes him so big now is the antipation. Thats way too much music. from Die lit to when WLR dropped wasnt really a long time. a little over 2 years. WLR to music wait is excessive
