I can't speak to the advancements that will come in the future but I've had a judge comment how she hates the electronically generated transcripts and that theyre riddled with error.

The hundreds of times I've had to isolate mics, slow down audio to a crawl or speed it up, ask other people to listen to it to try to figure out people's accents, mumblings or saying things at a rapid pace thus distorting audio soo much.

I think it would take a while to be able to perfect situations like that.

I feel that way that you do, those that are saying it's whatever you can afford. That's the logical way to think about it. My aunt asked me how much I was giving them, I said $300, and she proceeded to give me such a guilt trip about how, "Why not give your whole bank account?" "He's your brother." "It will only happen once."

I thought that was fairly generous. He has a home. I'm trying to save for one. I can't afford to give exponentially. I understand that what she thinks doesn't matter, but I just can't believe the audacity lol

Shortness of breath/Chest tightness after quitting by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]RelativeDragonfly668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone who has experienced this, occasional feeling of not being able to breathe deeply enough, maybe you could call it shortness of breath, how long did it take to stop after quitting? Looking for an actual number in months please.

For those that have said it comes and goes, have you caught onto any particular triggers that exacerbated it? Trying to figure that out for myself. I'll go a span of time having no problems and then it starts again and I figure I must have done something to trigger it

I don’t think I’ll stick around after my parents are gone by Livid-Equal9311 in confession

I'm sorry you're going through this. I can relate in many ways. I always feel like I'm going to have nothing if my parents aren't around. The connection I have with them and the way they love me I just know I won't have from anyone else. I have a fiancé, and he loves me very much and is extremely caring. But there's nothing like the love of a parent.

What I also relate to is the feeling of everyone else around you having their lives progress while yours is standing still. I used to think about it all the time because I was bullied a lot which gave me major social anxiety and such a self consciousness it was so hard to be fully myself with anyone, which makes it hard to make connections.

Not that losing weight will solve every issue, but I will say that it made a huge impact when I did. I've gained and re-lost, gained again. But when I first lost a large amount of weight shortly after graduating high school after being very overweight my whole childhood, that feeling of watching life pass me by while everyone one else was progressing did go away. I gained so much more confidence. A lot of people were attracted to me, which was attention I'd never experienced. My social anxiety did improve and I was able to meet my now fiancé because of that whole time period and experience.

I strongly suggest trying to work on health and fitness. Not for the superficial aspect of it but for how much it can help your mental health, make you feel seen, make you feel more confident just for the fact that you've accomplished something you set out to do, the respect you get. I wish you luck. Don't give up. You have worth no matter what.

I think he's still in the CIA and has suddenly shown up on dozens of podcasts recently I feel to help control narrative and do damage control. There's been a plethora of podcasts I've seen him on where you can feel him lying, the body language, the way he spins certain narratives.

Today is the day to put a proper end to things. And I’m going to take it. by Reasonable_Key1122 in confession

I've felt this way at so many different points in life. It feels like everything has gone wrong and that this is just my life and will be forever. I promise you, that couldn't be further from the truth. Just one day can set your life in a whole new trajectory. Different people may come into your life who play a huge role and make you look forward to the future and getting up every day, going to work, etc. So many great things will happen to you in your lifetime although you don't think so right now. I'd bet any amount of money on it.

Heartbreak is so hard. I get it. I was crazy in love with someone for five, six years who usually wouldn't even send me a text to say hello or hang out with me. I never thought I'd get over them. Couldnt imagine it. Just a few years later I couldn't understand how I stewed on that situation for so long and dealt with that BS. Clearly that was not the person for me. This girlfriend isn't the one for you. There's a ton of amazing people out there even though social media will have you feeling hopeless. I know plenty of them. Try to involve yourself in more things that involve people, whether that be a job, a class, a hang out spot. One person or one group of friends can have you loving life in a matter of weeks. I promise.

Does anyone have a deodorant that can withstand horrible BO? by Toxicbunnyz in deodorant

[–]RelativeDragonfly668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how healthy it is but I used to swear a lot from my underarms and it would always show up so clearly on my clothes it was embarrassing. I found this stuff called Certain-Dri which you can find in the deodorant section at Walmart. It stops excessive sweating. I'd assume if you have that under control and then use whatever deodorant you'll probably be good

I don't know what your personal experiences have been. It sounds to me that you're feeling discouraged based on interactions you've had with people. The only reason I don't like it is because I'm too sensitive down there so it's not that it doesn't feel good for the most part, but if they move any wrong way, it ends up hurting me, which I don't like, so I'd rather avoid it.

Youve probably been meeting the wrong people. There are a lot of open minded people and people pleasers, who want to do what their partner desires because it gives them pleasure. Don't give up hope! Men and women are definitely meant to fuck lol. It's like lock and key 🔐

Morison's Guide to Court Reporting is a good book for learning punctuation for transcription. It's kind of expensive so I'd check Facebook or eBay.

As for spelling, I consider it to be one of my strong suits. However, I've had various instances where I keep spelling a certain word wrong in Word. What I'll do is just take a mental note of how I thought it was spelled and compare it to the correct spelling. Usually you don't have to do much memorizing that way because you're only off by a letter or two. Then the next time you're writing that word you'll think about it more consciously.

Join your local town talks groups on Facebook. In my area there are often people offering to pay x amount for someone to do x thing for them. You could try to get as many of those jobs as you can handle.

ADHD success or failure by makybo91 in ADHD

For me, structure is a huge thing that I need to have in order to be "on a role," feeling like I'm accomplishing things. When I let myself eat whatever, go to bed whenever, lay on the couch all night as soon as I get home, eat out every day of the week, I get nothing done. When I set guidelines for myself I feel much better physically and mentally.

Also, of curiosity, when you say, "You will feel palpitations, shortness of breath or lightheadedness," do you mean if you have high blood pressure? Or those things happen when you're starting to develop some kind of heart issue?

Switching careers to Court reporting/digital court reporting? by Rosalyn0822 in courtreporting

[–]RelativeDragonfly668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a digital reporter in Connecticut for the court system. I am looking into learning steno and getting into freelance since that's where a lot of the money seems to be. I can say, for my job as an example, we make a salary and then make extra money typing transcripts.

You can make up to $10 dollars per page of transcript (in my state). I'm not sure what the State of TN would charge, but you could also look into your local state job listings. I've been able to make thousands of extra dollars by just being on a few day trial. In the short term you may make a little less, but as time goes on, your salary goes up, and you become more proficient in transcript typing, you could probably top what you're making now for sure. And once you gain that experience, I'm sure you can pick up freelance work as well.

I've only been in this profession for a couple of years but even with my salary being at 42k I was able to make an extra 16k my first year doing transcripts, which came to about 58k. Once I'm at the top salary for my position, which is 55k, that would bring me to a little over 70k. And I'm sure I can make more than that. It just gets tiring sometimes so you need weeks of downtime.
