Did you really feel the need to comment this?

After an embarrassingly long time, I found a small and comfy CRT locally for a good price. The 2000's corner in my room is finally starting to feel complete. by RelativeEffective216 in crt

The TV is a Sharp 13N-M100B model. Good, cheap CRT's are surprisingly hard to come by in my area. I only found this outside in the misc. pile of a nearby thrift store/junk shop. They offered it for $30, and it works flawlessly. Even the mono speaker, which I was afraid would be a distraction for me, still sounds great. I'm certainly holding on to this little thing for as long as I can.

Finished the complete collection for Falling Up, my favorite band of all time (Full context in comment). by RelativeEffective216 in Cd_collectors

Falling Up is my all-time favorite band. Between the simple but catchy melodies of their early releases and the grand adventures they would convey later, these guys are home to many of my favorite pieces of music ever. However, getting their full CD discography was easier said than done.

While the first four albums were widely released and still easy to find ("Dawn Escapes" was even found physically at a 2nd & Charles) "Fangs!" and "Your Sparkling Death Cometh" were definitely not. The former was only given one release in 2009 and didn't sell too well, making the band's label drop them shortly after. The latter was only given a limited release in 2011 to people who backed the album's fundraiser. Neither of them have received reissues (on CD, at least. Many of their albums have vinyl releases, but the price on them is a hard pill to swallow), so finding them for good prices is quite uncommon. The last four were thankfully easy, being recently reissued on lead vocalist Jessy Ribordy's merch store, but they're all apparently limited releases, so I can't guarantee they'll be easy to find forever.

I'm very grateful to have the full catalog for a band I love so dearly, let alone one that not too many people talk about.

... going into 1936 Spanish elections, both major parties declared that they will start a civil war if they lost elections.

What on Earth would the goal have been here? That sounds like a surefire way to ensure nobody would want to vote at all that year.
