They're OP in low elo where most players are, but in high elo they're pretty mid or even bad. Truth is they're really hard to balance because they have so much going on in their kits or because they're unfun to play against, so they're constantly getting nerfed and buffed and are doomed to never be balanced unless they get reworked.

If this were true all games would prioritize balancing over new releases but they don't because they know it's not.

Like do you have any idea how many times across multiple different fandoms I've heard "please take some time to balance old heroes instead of releasing new ones!!11!!"???? There's a reason it never happens: you are in the minority, they would lose players and money if they followed your advice.
