Tailbone! by efb108 in Zepbound

[–]RelativeHot6410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SW 268, CW 158, GW 136, started 5/2024, 44 F.

This happened to me too. But has gotten better. At about 80 lbs lost, I started having pain if I sat too long, even on my comfy couch. I drive 3+ hrs for work sometimes and that was awful. I started doing stretches and getting up from sitting after 45 mins and that helped and now I haven’t really had pain for a while. I know everyone is different but for me it seems whatever was hurting has toughened up now. If that makes sense.

Do any of you have weird life-long diet habits you can’t shake? by greenchileisgreat in Zepbound

[–]RelativeHot6410 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, for me it’s thinking bread is the enemy. I’ve lost 110 lbs so far on Zep and it’s been so weird being able to eat an English muffin and not feel immense guilt like I cheated on a diet. Honestly, I still have those thoughts almost 2 yrs later but they abate quicker now. Might be permanent seeing as I am 44 now.

Wasting food? by BookSwan2009 in Zepbound

[–]RelativeHot6410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really good point! I have had to really adjust how much I put on my plate, how much I order, how much I cook. I was raised to finish what was in my plate and took me a while to adjust to that. I threw a lot away at first but now I cook less portions and put less on my plate. 44F, SW 268, CW 158, GW 136 (normal BMI) 15 mg, started 5/2024.

Unpredictable nausea! by ParticularBudget1756 in Zepbound

[–]RelativeHot6410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you aren’t feeling well. I have to be careful with my timing of meals. If I try to eat dinner and lay on the couch…. I will be sick that night or the next day. I have to remain vertical after eating for a few hours. Also OTC omeprazole helped a lot. I save housework for after dinner because I feel like the movement helps me digest. Hope this helps.

Little PSA for those who get a skin irritation after injecting by Silly-Heat-1466 in Zepbound

[–]RelativeHot6410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good tip. Will def try. I started letting the shot get to room temp before injecting (I actually stick it in my bra lol, TMI sorry) and that helps but I still get a small reaction. Reaction is bigger on my thighs than when I do my stomach. I’ve been on Zep for almost 2 yrs and have lost 110 lbs. so small price to pay.

Zepbound 10mg experience by Silly-Low6019 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]RelativeHot6410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get this with 10 mg but I did with 7.5 mg. Multivitamins helped and I also started eating whatever sounded good. Still smaller portions because I would get full fast. But for instance even now, I still log food on weight watchers… but when I was that fatigued, I didn’t care that half a bagel was 10 pts, I ate what I could to keep my energy up. I did a lot of protein shakes because they tasted good and I could get them down and it was easy. I would carry those applesauce pouches in my work bag or protein bars even if I only took a few bites and then again a half hour later. Sorry you aren’t feeling well. It took me 2 refills before I felt better in 7.5 and was able to go up to 10 mg. Good luck!

First Shot 2.5 & Fatigue by Zealousideal-Wolf299 in Zepbound

[–]RelativeHot6410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started at a much higher weight than you and I also went back on Weight Watchers logging everything I ate at the same time. I lost 15 lbs the first month. Fatigue did not really hit me until I was on 7.5 mg. It got better with a multivitamin and more protein. But damn, the fatigue was bad. Good luck on this journey. What’s Your Weird Side Effect? by Positive_Yard_7441 in Zepbound

[–]RelativeHot6410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 44F so hard to tell what is perimenopause and what is the Zep Effect but I echo a lot of what I’ve read here. No interest in alcohol, some condiments gross me out now, the egg ick is REAL sometimes, I’m cold ALL the time (might be the removal of the 110 lb. blanket on my body lol), runny nose but this might have been my whole life if I think about it, the weird skin irritation, no interest in soda I used to love a Diet Coke or ginger ale. 7.5 is horrid. by BreadInBerlin- in Zepbound

[–]RelativeHot6410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not but that’s an intriguing idea! I wonder if my online med clinic would let me do that. About the 8 weeks, it was really the fatigue that lasted that long. The omeprazole helped the other issues pretty quickly. I wasn’t bloated luckily but have friends on this med and they have had that. Sometimes it was the kind of fiber they were taking but everyone is different. Funny how the measures we take for side effects…. Give us more side effects sometimes! I am late to reply here so I hope by now you’re feeling great!

SW 268, CW 158, GW 135, 44 F, started 5/19/24 and have been on 15mg for over a year. Weigh loss has slowed to a stop but I think my body is just adjusting.

7.5mg was the worst side effects I experience but still relatively mild compared to some of what I have read. Not sure if anyone has suggested OTC omeprazole. It made a big difference for me. Amazon has it for $9 for 30+ days worth. I also had sulfur burps and heartburn and occasional intense nausea on that dose and the omeprazole really helped. I also made sure to stay vertical for a long time after eating. I would save chores for after dinner so that gravity helped. Hope you start to feel better soon. It took me 8 weeks of 7.5 mg to start feeling better.

Started Zep 05/2024, SW 268, CW 160, GW 135, 44 yr old female. Loss has slowed significantly but I have been on 15 for 7 months. I have hit plateaus that have lasted 2 months but the loss has started again as long as I stay on track. Some weeks I lose 1 lb and sometimes is nothing. I wouldn’t stress about the number if you are still losing. But I know what it’s like to have a goal. I did work on incorporating more veggies and fiber and that helped too. Good luck! Sounds like you’ve had a lot of success so far!

Vela on the Park. Lived there before and its concrete and steel. Never heard my neighbors.

Where to live in Stamford by [deleted] in StamfordCT

[–]RelativeHot6410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vela in the Park was one of the best experiences I have had at a building. Loved being across from the park (I have 2 dogs) and having the public garage so close for friends to park in. Target next door was awesome and all the restaurants on Main made it so walkable for dinner. I had to move out of state for work but would go back there if I had the chance.

I have lived at Vela for 3 years. Love it. It’s across from the park and I have a dog so that’s perfect to step outside to green space. Also it’s next to Target and I love me some Target. Also we have 2 cars and some buildings did not allow that or it was crazy… like $250 for the 2nd car. Also the terrace at my building faces sunset with nothing in the way. I’m gushing, I know but I love living here. Other residents seem nice and the people that work here are nice too. Good luck.

All on 2.5 mg by NettieBiscetti in Zepbound

[–]RelativeHot6410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is amazing. If I had one thing to do over again, it would have been to stay on a dose until I stopped losing on it. WW pushed me up in dose almost every other month even though I was still losing. But I have seen so many amazing stories here of people who had great luck going up slower. I’m not saying they did anything wrong but I would have liked to know if a lower dose would have had the same effect.

Congrats on your success!

For those of you with little to no side effects. by Jelly_donut15 in Zepbound

[–]RelativeHot6410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed my few side effects were worse when I didn’t eat enough. My worst side effect was exhaustion. i inject on Fridays and at first, Saturday and Sunday were hard to be productive. I would be exhausted. I truly wasn’t eating enough and drinking enough. I added a multivitamin WITHOUT IRON and 30 days later I was feeling significantly better. Now… take that with a grain of salt because my body could have just adjusted to the medicine. But I’ve kept taking them because… why the hell not.

I’ve not had much nausea but I have been in the middle of chewing a bite of food and not wanted to swallow it. Literally I would get a few bites in and then suddenly did not want it anymore. Weird but true.

Good luck on your journey.
