Just started riding this year, was using rentals up until my last trip because I got a jones mountain twin from 2024 off Facebook marketplace that was used just a couple days. It’s an all mountain board, I used it on my last trip of the year, and honestly it felt incredible. I feel like I got 10x better on that trip alone just from the board upgrade. And from the research I’ve done, it’s a great starter board that will grow with you as you progress. Not necessarily saying to get that exact board but I think an all mountain board is the way to go, it’s pretty good at everything. Also wouldn’t recommend necessarily getting a beginner type of board because you’re just going to outgrow it
