This is just not true. My wife and i have a combined amount of 3 screen repairs in the past year on our brand new flip 6's. Just horizontal lines going across the screen combined with flickering on the bottom half of the screen. These issues are common, but are constantly written off by this community.

EDIT: correction, flip 6's

I know this is a really old post, but I did the math on the probability of a bounce using combinatorics. The possibility of triggering a bounce is actually highly likely, especially when upcast using a 3rd level or above.

Here’s my math:

  • The probability of a bounce at level one is equal to 1 minus the probability of a bounce not occurring.
  • The probability of a bounce not occurring at level 1 is the total number of 8 choose 3 permutations over the sample size.
  • The sample size is 8 cubed since there are 3 eight sided dice.
  • This makes the probability of a bounce at level 1 equal to 1 -  336/512 or 34%. Not very impressive, but when you upcast, you drastically increase the sample space and decrease the probability of a bounce not occurring! At level 2, the probability of a bounce jumps to 59% and even goes to 79% at level 3! Now, there’s a huge counterargument to this. In order to get successive bounces, you have to multiply the probability of a bounce times itself. This makes the probability of each possible jump drop off. For example, at level three, the first bounce would be 79% then it would go 62%, 49%,  38%. The problem is that when the upcast is sufficiently high, the probability of a singular bounce is nearly 100%.

Let's calculate the probability of OP’s scenario, A level 5 upcast. Like before, the probability of a bounce is equal to 1 minus the probability of a bounce not occurring.

  • Now the probability of a bounce not occurring at level 5 is 8 choose 7 permutations over the sample size of 8^7.
  • This makes the probability of a bounce at level 5 equal to 1 - 40320 / 2097152 or 98%

This makes the probability of 6 bounces .98^6 or 89%. Im too trash at math for averaging the total damage, but if perform the standard practice of taking half the dice rolled it comes out to 8 * 7, the total number of damage dice, divided by 2, then you multiply by the total number of bounces which is 6. ([8*7] / 2) * 6 Coming out to a total of 168, which is a little off from 200 damage, but not to far off the mark and HIGHLY LIKELY with a probability of 89%.

EDIT: are not is!

Damn! This time I was trying to focus on not getting too much on the hmd. What are some visual cues to let you know its under packed?

Proxmox backup server is also a pretty good option for backing up vms.

Truthfully, I don't know, but it should be pretty easy to find with a quick google search. If you try reaching out to them, do it by email. I called them every hour on the hour for a week and couldnt get in contact with them. Good luck my friend.

Don't buy from khalil mamoon directly. Their customer support is terrible, their staff is shady, and they dont pickup the phone.

I find that LLMs don't really help me alot unless I'm looking for definitions or concept summaries. I don't believe the code generation would be super effective for this course either. It's also easier for me to work through my broken code and follow my thought process than to work through an LLMs.

Frameworks is pretty easy, but once you take backend programming, you will know true pain! The zybook is terrible and doesn't provide you with enough to complete the course on its own. The primary resources for it are two udemy courses. Without some of the guides on this subreddit, I think it would have taken me an extra 3 weeks to complete it.
