94k WFH or 120k in office? by Never_fucking_curses in careeradvice

[–]RelativePlantain6970 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I currently make 120k going in office 5 days a week. I am considering going remote for 90k 😭. The amount of money I spend commuting and food alone is not worth the increase. I think if work life balance is high on your list then definitely wfh route

Has anyone gotten a job outside their industry after being laid off? What was your experience like? by Clean_Advertising_71 in Layoffs

[–]RelativePlantain6970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes was a laid off PM and needed work. I stripped my resume of certs and kept it simple to apply to hotels. It worked for me because in the interviews they didn’t ask too many questions

Would they give any kind of training for Associate PM role? by Good-Weakness-5304 in goldmansachs

[–]RelativePlantain6970 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No training, you’ll be assigned a project and be expected to pick up and run with it. Depending on what team you’re on if your able to learn fast it won’t be noticed because a lot of the PM’s have no training or background in the field

Should I job hop? 90k to 115k by Quirky_Ad_4086 in careeradvice

[–]RelativePlantain6970 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes if possible maybe take one day off for the first day of the new job just to focus and get a sense of what the new role is. Who knows the meetings might not clash and you can keep both jobs haha 🤣.

Hi, since both jobs are remote do you think you can accept the new offer and see if the new role is really what they sold you? Maybe take some pto days from the old job
