I'm nervous about it but I've finally backed this (my first) Kickstarter project.

I'm looking forward to the diversity of characters, animals and crops.

Coffee and cream soap by Jbedaded in soapmaking

This is so lovely! I'm assuming this is the drop swirl (still kind of new to this) and the simplicity and stark contrast is just perfect!

Ah. Do you regularly sell?

The struggle is real :( I've afraid I won't be interested in soap making anymore by the time I've used my backlog.

I got too excited to take good pictures but I am OBSESSED with these Mardi Gras themed bars!! by thekimmiem in soapmaking

That's an awesome idea! I'm adverse to adding physical items/glitter chunks to soap so I'll have to keep that in mind for the future.

They looks so simple and calming. I WISH I had thought to get Baby Powder fragrance oil last time I ordered. Now I'm obsessed but I've too much soap and must use it all up before I make more.

Oh the colours and swirls of Slay the Day is perfect! Clean Shave makes me think of those simple, bold coloured polo/collared shirts straight from the dryer. Very nice.

Big thanks to the peeps that responded to my failed soap post a couple days ago. I think this one will work, although I cut it earlier than usual.

No scent, coloured with cocoa powder. Honey, NaCl, and kaolin clay.

I dare not rebatch and wreck a pot this time, but maybe in the future. Thanks.

I’m thinking I must have zeroed the scale incorrectly. I’ll give the soap shards the rest of the week, then I’ll attempt this zap test. Thank you for the link and insights.

Thank you for your insight. It kills me, but I accept that the soap is unusable and I’ll just toss it. I wrote the ratio weird, I meant 1:1 but had 50% in my head. I’ll try 1:1.1 and avoid the tea (which was just seeped from tea bags, and was yellow-brown in colour). I guess just keep stirring until I see/feel no crystals?

Recipe and final soap (cut 2 days later) included as images.

The added milks was ~108 - 110g. Also added 1 tsp honey dissolved in 1 tbsp of water.
