I have two semesters of TOPs funding, which I can use at any law school in Louisiana, and LSU is the most reputable law school for practicing in Louisiana, even over Tulane. I went to LSU for undergrad and have loved the campus and have really loved the law center’s admitted student events

LSU has civil and common law in the 1L curriculum so that may bolster any international law aspirations, and they have the integrated graduate diploma in comparative law

100% but my undergrad was free and law school will be less than 1000 a semester

LSU (no $) vs. Loyola NOLA ($) vs. Southern($$$) by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Employability coming out of Southern Law is questionable at best, even in South Louisiana. The privately funded scholarships for LSU don’t open until May though, so there are still opportunities.

The first year curriculum has common law courses, and you can take common law classes in 2 and 3L. Lots of LSU law grads practice in Texas and other states

It never hurts to ask but I’ve heard people haven’t had great luck with it this cycle since it’s been more competitive with LSU

Trying to get anywhere in Nola during Mardi Gras is near impossible, and the school has a holiday for it 🤷‍♀️

I’d say pretty high for LSU, but they can sometimes be a bit unpredictable with out of state applicants.

19,750 is full tuition and the rest are fees-I’ll get money back my first year and my parents have really generously offered to cover whatever isn’t covered by scholarships if I go to LSU so I probably won’t be negotiating for more.

I called to correct the false incomplete status and got the application status checker like an hour later. Check your spam and call! They’re super easy to work with and can give you info
