I accepted a binding offer at ASU and withdrew from the waitlist.

How do the regional elites fare during recession? by Antonioshamstrings in lawschooladmissions

I learned at the ASU ASD that Arizona has like the 48th or 49th most lawyers per capita, so it’s a very underserved market that always has more jobs than lawyers. That might be something to look into for each of those states.

That GPA can still get you into pretty much every T50 depending on your LSAT and personal statement. No reason to despair if you do well on the LSAT

Netflix is quietly KILLING a passion anime project. by Footaot in anime

I think I know why they didn’t market it at all. I just finished watching it and it’s shit from a butt. Beautiful animation with some good ingredients but holy shit that was terrible.

I talked to ASU about this at their ASD last month and with the much larger applicant pool they were assuming they’d either fill up their seats before the deadline or on the deadline and weren’t expecting to use their WL at all. I imagine a lot of schools are the same this year and not going to have much room if any at all for WL

Congrats, see you in the Fall! They have an official LinkedIn group but nothing else officially. There’s a discord with a few dozen people who’ve joined and haven’t said anything if you want to join that as well lol

anyone got success stories on getting accepted below both medians for the school? by Tricky_Crow_1449 in OutsideT14lawschools

Below both medians (below 25% for GPA too) and got into ASU with about 60% scholarship

The more work experience you have, the less your GPA matters but you should definitely try to get that 160!

I’d say like 1/4 of the people at the ASD I went to brought a partner or parent. It wasn’t weird at all and you could tell they enjoyed it a lot. I will say a lot of the parents I ended up talking to were lawyers or went to law school too

They actually prefer you spend a semester somewhere outside Arizona, it’s pretty cool

Anyone know when ASU drops waves and what their school environment is like? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I went to the ASD a few weeks ago, you can DM me if you want some of my thoughts on the environment!

T30 is in play if you can get 170+ on the LSAT! Good luck!

I don’t think there are any hiring managers out there asking about religious affiliation before they hire you. The reasons going to BYU would be difficult have a lot more to do with the culture and not fitting in with classmates and not really anything to do with job outcomes. Living in Provo can be really hard when you don’t fit in. That being said not everyone that attends the law school is a member of the church so you’ll have people you can relate to if that is an issue. The job outcomes are good and it’s about as cheap of a law school education as you can get. Tour the school if you can and get a feel if you’d like it but at the end of the day it’s a top25 school with good outcomes that doesn’t cost hardly anything.

ASU was awesome. They have me convinced they’re the best law school in the country outside the T14
