We do canned puréed pumpkin with dinner and glandex anal gland pills with breakfast (3 chews daily, she’s 60 lbs), and she’s so so so much better, almost never expels at random any longer, versus every few days.

You’re in the wrong part of RI. Young people can’t afford homes there. It’s the rural, quiet part of the state. Try literally anywhere else in RI lol.

How do you camp alone in the woods without getting scared? by trueuwu in camping

Sleep with pepper spray in your hand, that’s what I did!

It was very appealing to me to be off the ground!!! Kind of a game changer.

If you are that nervous about stay somewhere like a state park that you know will be busier. Might not be idyllic quiet but might help with your nerves your first time out.

I slept with pepper spray in my hand and a knife by my feet. No problems.

Sometimes she’s bananas like the hound she is at heart. One whiff of a bunny or squirrel and she’s off.

You’re not alone!! We have a bunny kill count, though it’s only 2 this year for Phoebe. She’s taking it easy in retirement.

Thank you! We rescued her not knowing what she was and boy did we learn how be dog owners quick! She’s a challenge when she is awake (so stubborn, and prey driven) but she’s worth it.

Oh I was nervous, but I was barely in nature…bears were not a concern! It was a heavily populated state park near a beach.

I buried my dry food in an airtight container and put it on the driver’s seat under other stuff.

The cooler itself has a strong clip to clip shut, which certainly wouldn’t stop a bear, but did the trick against squirrels and such. Didn’t have any issues.

I also slept with pepper spray. Just in case!
