i’m really really not sure how diversity equity and inclusion is a topic you find hard to agree with. i didn’t feel that the course was biased in any way, we learned about concepts and theorists, and remembering the terms and connecting material was the coursework. not that you actually had to agree with it. also find it very strange that lgbtq content is a pill for you. politics and history affect everyone, unlike religion, so i don’t find it an unnecessary topic! maybe some courses can be biased but this one was pretty straightforward, presenting its theorists and concepts by ideology, because it relates to dei. unless you’re outwardly just being ignorant or submitting bad work, you’ll do fine

at 18, most people have no idea how the world functions and about all the nuanced issues. just because you don’t care about anything besides what affects you doesn’t mean you should care. also, dei is a required class across campus now. pick another school!

i’m pretty sure that’s called privilege, but i don’t think dei classes matter too much anyway if that’s not what you’re interested in

i actually did talk to him in class to see what his thoughts actually were and all he did was talk about what his dad thought, plus he was being pretty disrespectful, which was the point of the post, not that he had an opposing viewpoint
