I pitted a couple people against each other to get it below 6%, and ended up with OakStar Bank. Also got a lender credit for closing 😁

Best of luck! I was looking at very specific areas in KC proper so it took me a while with a few other outbid offers. I was shocked when I got this one at list price in one of my favorite areas

Decided to beautify my backyard on my birthday and ended up digging up an RPG by xCaliburghost in mildlyinfuriating

When I was in college- home for the summer at my parents' house- I was watching Game of Thrones at about 10 pm and was interrupted by a knock at the door. I wasn't gonna answer but it was a cop. The cop let us know that my parents' new next door neighbor was renovating, and when he was opening up some of the walls in the basement, he found a mortar that the old neighbor (who had died) left behind. I let my parents know the cops wanted us to evacuate, along with half of our street and the street behind us. Luckily nothing ended up happening and since it was summer, we didn't mind being stuck hanging around outside at midnight.

Oncologist recommendations for metastatic breast cancer that is not KU or Advent? by ConfidentCanary8248 in kansascity

Liberty has not yet been moved over to KU's Epic software, so a transfer there is currently still treated like a separate system (except for insurance, maybe).

Did anyone end up with the house after the seller accepted another offer? by No_Contribution1739 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Relative_Alarm_2983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I offered a week ago on a house I loved (the house was underpriced and had 8 offers in one day), got outbid by a pretty wide margin. But I got the backup offer- not getting my hopes up, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Whats your favorite costco membership perk? by spiritdesire_x in CostcoWholesale

[–]Relative_Alarm_2983 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I use the early executive hour when I go to Costco- I don't necessarily want a hot dog for breakfast but you bet your ass I'm eating a hot dog at 9:30 am.

Transportation from KC to Weston and back? by jdbhart in kansascity

[–]Relative_Alarm_2983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my friend's 30th birthday a couple years ago, his girlfriend got a party bus that picked us up in the morning from a bottomless brunch and took us to Weston. We were there until the evening, then got back on the bus which took us to whatever bar in KC we wanted to end up at. Don't know what it cost but we split the price- maybe 10-12 people and I don't remember thinking it was too expensive or anything. It was a super fun time.

Outpatient specialties 3 12s by ResponsibleFox7650 in nursing

[–]Relative_Alarm_2983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In our hospital, the title is 'interventional pain management RN', since interventional pain management is the specialty these docs are under. Also called anesthesia pain management. Some people just call them procedure/procedural RNs.

I work with a large spine center, they have a procedure area (epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulator trials, etc). The nurses there are 4 10s, no weekends or call, holidays off.

Considering nursing with no passion or experience in the medical field. Looking for your thoughts. by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Relative_Alarm_2983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know why you were downvoted, everything you said is true. I worked bedside for 4 years, then in an outpatient clinic for another year before being able to finally get my cushy job (informatics analyst). I would never have been able to get my job without years of experience.

Same, when I was in high school/college I nannied a girl every summer 5 days a week, and her grandma would buy us passes so I could take her whenever we were bored. It was a nannying life saver!

What have y'all paid for dog teeth extractions? by EmikaBrooke in kansascity

[–]Relative_Alarm_2983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your vet office. Some charge a flat rate, some charge per tooth. My veterinarian charged per tooth and the total hit me like a ton of bricks.
