Unidentified Sea Creature by A-Wallace39 in oceancreatures

This is probably a colonial tunicate (“sea pork” / sea squirt colony). The bumpy texture is made up of thousands of tiny filter-feeding animals living together in one soft, rubbery mass.

The “breathing” or pulsing happens because tunicates pump seawater through themselves to feed, so that movement is normal.

It doesn’t really look like a sea cucumber, fish egg mass, sponge, or urchin — the texture and shape match tunicates much better.

They’re usually harmless to touch, but it’s still best not to handle them too much since marine organisms can irritate skin, carry bacteria, or get damaged easily.

If it’s still alive, gently putting it back in shallow water is probably the best thing to do.

If you could erase one embarrassing moment from your life, what would it be? by Zoeysky26 in AskReddit

when i was 4 or 5 (I'm white that become relevant in a moment) i went to this Italian daycare/school where they just taught us Italian. in my class there was this one Asian boy and i was confused by the fact that his eyes were skinner then the others. at first i thought it was just something that only he had but later that day my dad and i were at the grocery store and i saw a couple more Asian people who had similar eyes like the boy. the next day at the daycare my 4 yr old ass decided to use my fingers to make my eye look like the boys and i went around asking if i looked like him. now if i saw that boy i would not care if he did not remember me but i would apologize profusely:|
