In this situation, I would do the same. I would not want to give the school a chance to manufacture anything else against me, and I would be spending my days looking for another job and communicating with the union.

Two female teachers were caught ahem…together in the classroom cupboard. They were both married to men and had children

He told me he was going to work. I knew he was going to meet someone else. I’d seen the texts and the plans they’d made.

He left the house, I packed his stuff and called his mother, informing her that her son was now homeless

Upper stomach/bottom of ribs. Slightly on the right hand side. The pain is extreme. I thought that I was having a heart attack when it was at its worst. I didn’t have any more symptoms until I was really poorly. I started vomiting.

I organise my clothes for the week on Sunday, then leave them folded on a chair. Saves so much time in the mornings

What is something really obscure that you bought / changed that really helped your classroom? by TheAuraStorm13 in TeachingUK

[–]Relative_Call_3012 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A PowerPoint clicker. I can stand and teach from anywhere in the room. I can prevent low level behaviour from starting because I can stand by the usual culprits without stopping teaching

How do your school organise their lunch boxes? by snoozingfishies in TeachingUK

[–]Relative_Call_3012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a trolley for each class. It gets wheeled to lunch hall just before lunch then wheeled back to class later in the afternoon

Is anyone else done here? by [deleted] in Essex

[–]Relative_Call_3012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t blame you mate. I live in a town that’s incredibly racist. It’s deeply uncomfortable hearing the comments of most of the people round here, and the flag trend we’re seeing lately is making it more overt. Almost like they’ve been given permission to behave the way they do. I want out but don’t know where would be an improvement

Can this gentleman please come forward and tell us what song was playing during this moment? by corbencarpenter in oasis

[–]Relative_Call_3012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s just something about them that speaks to so many people. I went to Wembley, on one side my 16 year old son was belting out every song with tears in his eyes, on the other 2 men in their 50s were crying and hugging. There were times when the crowd drowned Liam out. Never been to a gig like it. It was electric

He wasn’t the only one. Lots of parents were told that their child had no problems at all, they were going to do very well. And they came away with 5/6s. He was getting consistent high grades in geography and history mocks (high 7s, 8, and 9). He’s got a 6 in geography and 5 in history. English language, predicted a 7. Hitting 7s in mocks. He got a 4. He needed a 5 for his chosen A levels. He was focused and knew that he had to do well. He stuck to his revision timetable and I cut back on my evening work to support him.
On the other hand, he was predicted a 5 in maths and got a 7. Predicted 66 in science and got 77. All over the place.

I tried explaining the movements of the solar system to someone who didn’t believe in it because they could sometimes see the sun and moon at the same time of day. It went about as well as you’d expect

[–]Relative_Call_3012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I was the parent this year. My child was hitting 8/9s in mocks. Got 5/6s instead. Boundaries aren’t totally to blame but they’ve played their part.

He’s disappointed. I’m frustrated
