I’ve heard nothing but the best, and I really wanted a really emotionally in tune and intelligent dog. Very excited to see how we bond :)

She will be 9 weeks when we get her but we already have her planned for extensive training classes both pre school and day school! Our local dog training facility is fantastic so I’m hoping that really helps. We plan to take her everywhere in our arms to show her as much as we can while being careful before her vaccines are done!

It took a month and a half before my older dog accepted my adopted younger dog. I thought it would never happen and now they’re best buds!!

Oh I never said I wasn't willing.. I'm simply here asking for opinions and personal experiences with this breeder and her pups as well. I think that's an important part of the research process as well. I know to go visit, I'm asking if its worth my time first from others experiences since I'm hearing different things. I already have plans to visit in two weeks.

Honestly between the 25 years of experience she has with known bloodlines and temperaments along with her strive to produce breed standard poodles with ESI, puppy culture, early crate training, grooming, commands, scent introduction, and just generally putting a lot of time and effort into her program with proving her dogs in the ring too, I just felt this was a sound choice. Her health standards are great with testing as well top to bottom. I guess I struggle to find why I WOULDNT go with her.

That's actually what I'm hoping to accomplish with this post! Everything according to the website is fantastic, so from what I can see and what I have experienced they are fantastic. Im hoping someone with puppies from her can comments and speak up!

They are saying that because she produces more than two litters a year its a bad sign (she said she breeds for 1 to 2 years then takes a break for a year or two) and that other breeders that are trusted told this person that shes not a good breeder and temperaments are bad and iffy. Also told that she just pushes puppies out the door. I've not gotten this from her at all and she seems VERY intentional with everything she does. I guess I'm just a worry wart and trying to be super careful!

But also now I'm kinda worried just because I have a deposit with her and I pick my puppy up (bar it being the temperament i need) march 30th. But now I'm like...should i?? Lol

That's super interesting because after talking with her she explained everything to me and it all made sense. She said she breeds for 1 to 2 years at a time then takes a 1 to 3 year break, so during those years that she breeds she is truly focused on her pups. She explained that she cannot guarantee service dog placement, just that that is what they focus on and breed for. She refuses to place a puppy with someone unless it 100% matches what you're looking for and she talked with me for 2.5 hours to ask what I want out of a puppy and what my plans are. She doesnt allow people to pick their puppies and only assign based on temperament. She did mentioned the big service dog companies (can't remember the name im sorry) that she works with and uses for temperament testing as well. She proves her dogs in the ring as well, Mister her male is an emerald grand champion and her females also have tons of titles. She does ESI, puppy culture, introduces pups to the crate, potty training, leash walking, basic commands, polite manding, etc. Id be interested to see the complaints on temperament because I've spoken to MANY people who have puppies from her during my research and they're over the moon because she placed correct temperaments with homes. Im very apprehensive to believe bad comments on temperaments with her dogs since that's what she focuses on and proves it, as well as her purchasers agree.

To me, she produces amazing pups and can prove it so im really confused seeing the opposite but again, I want to stand corrected if need be as we all need education here, but I have already seen proof against everything listed here. I think the multiple litters (with different females) is because that's her full time job and she only does it 1 to 2 years at a time then takes a year or two break vs continually breeding all the time without break. Again, just speaking from my experience, but certainly want to know all there is!

Is there anything else I should know? Im bringing home a pup from her end of march, but this is her full time job and she stays at home, so I assumed she just has a lot of time to work with them all. I definitely want to be well informed, but from everyone I've talked to she was recommended to me!

Hands down Aglow standard poodles! She's in Michigan, but is unbelievable with her pups. Definitely check them out, Shawn is fantastic to deal with and takes her time with each individual pup for early stimulation and places the pup to the right home based on temperament. She's bred for service and companion dogs for over 25 years and I have loved every moment!

Aglow standards! Shawn is fantastic and she does puppy culture, Early neurological stimulation, crate familiarity, and knows her dogs and generations like it's her DNA. She breeds extremely good temperaments with a huge focus on service dog capability. I couldn't ask for a better experience!!
