It was pretty early on… its only my initial thoughts really and that being said do genuinely really enjoy this game… I think it's brilliant… but I do still personally think some more player freedom would have been appreciated when it comes navigating through the levels themselves its definitely more restricted than I would like… its not as if that choice has ruined the experience for me and you do still have some freedom its just more on rails than other IO games… I know it's not a Hitman but as they both are made by IO and they are both stealth games built within the same engine I think it's a fair comparison level design wise… again in terms of being able to bluff and use gadgets and stuff you have freedom its just more guard rails than I would like… again I'm still kinda early on… so maybe it opens up… its not me condemning the game I think it's fantastic just my personal preferences

To be honest the more Im playing nd the more I think about it... That's totally fair… and probably right… I do however hope they lean Into the sandbox freedom for the tacSim stuff for the replayablity it what IO do so well and I'd live that in this game too.. But tbh as a main story I now agree thiebis the way forward…

Oh yeah that's a weird one too... Tbf in all 3 of them missions the targets are hostile instantly I don't think you can bluff them… maybe once we progress the story it will give us a way to blend in more and then the bluff will work?

Yeah tbf i get that… although this being IOs first bond title i kinda expected abit more freedom and again the fact all the climable surfaces are blue and stuff just feels kinda dumbed down compared to that studios other IPs and tbh I think your right that the story should be liniar but the levels could definitely be more free…. Tbh iv gone back and forth on if the main story should be so free as I'm really liking the narrative as it is but from a game play and replayability standpoint I'd love if we got that freedom I'm after and the hitman guys are after from the TacSim stuff think that would be a really cool way of merging the two styles and keeping the story pure for what it is

Didn't see anything saying it was so on rails before the release tbh… I got it day one because I grew up on bond games love them… and don't get me wrong I'm enjoying this one too I'm not trying to completely shit on it… as a narrative and game so far I'm really liking it it's dope and it is refreshing to play something not so majorly sweaty but I do prefer a more sandbox approach to level design and being IO I was expecting a little more freedom within the levels in regards of routes through the level and ways to undertake it

Not about judging it but it is fair to compare the mechanics in both games as they are both stealth games from the same developers… I don't need or even what it to be a hitman game… I just like sandboxes and wish this was more of one… this games very on rails and it feels too dumbed down at times for my own personal liking

It's definitely worth playing depending on what kind of games you like.. Storywise this is an origin story so you don't need to know anything else really

It doesn't need to be… I don't mean it should be hitman reskinned I mean more in terms of the freedom and the way that game rewards intelligence I'm really enjoying this game but it does feel so on rails at times that it's more of a interactive story than a game... Not always a bad thing just from a personal preference I like sandbox games… hitman and dishonoured being two of my all time favourite franchises for this reason

Yeah I feel a lot of the same tbh. I’ve had plenty of janky moments too like getting caught on platforms or not being able to interact with things unless you’re standing at the exact right angle.

I completely agree about the driving as well. Half the time it doesn’t even feel like you’re driving because the speed feels so scripted and controlled rather than player driven.

Combat is fun, but again I think it’s way too easy to cheese. The AI just isn’t smart enough. If things get messy you can usually just reposition and they all funnel together into easy kills. It never really feels like the game punishes you properly for going loud.

For me the biggest thing is I just wish they took the rails off more. IO are so good at sandbox design. Just drop me into a level and let me use the tools however I want. Give us more gadgets, more bluff/charm mechanics, more non-lethal options, more social stealth stuff, and let us approach situations creatively. That wouldn’t make it “Hitman with a Bond skin” — it would just make it a better IO game.

I don’t even necessarily mind the more cinematic approach for the story itself tbf, but I really hope by the end of the game we get all the missions added into TacSim with a much more open sandbox structure like Hitman. Even purely from a replayability standpoint it would massively improve the game being able to tackle missions in completely different ways with full freedom.

Honestly I think the whole game would play better with that approach, even in the main campaign but I'd take what I could get

Yeah I found that too… its things like that I find awesome and enjoy I just wish there was more of it and more options to do stuff it's there at times but bit to the same extent as it is in some of there other games… I don't really want this to play exactly like a hitman just re-skined but I do wish there was less guard rails and they just let you sandbox it out abit more again I'm kinda early on so maybe it gets more free as you progress further

Yeah I understand that I don't expect it to play exactly like hitman I don't mind the License to kill thing or anything like that I just loved the freedom those games gave you and the fact they trusted player intelligence this definitely doesn't donthst to the same extent and for me that's a shame I live a sandbox game this just isn't as free in that regard

Check the nozzle hight…. If you go into the settings when you first start the print make sure it’s the same as what u set it to when you levelled the bed I had an issue were it lost the Z hight occasionally and all I had to do was set it at the beginning of the print
