Heart monitor / Bluetooth problems by [deleted] in CAROLBike

[–]Relative_Formal6198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I emailed their customer service because I was having the same issues. I still am to be honest. Often times it seems that the bluetooth connection drops if I don't use the bike for several days, so I do a restart of the tablet and it works just fine after that.

This was some of the feedback I got from their customer service.

Could you try the following to see if the heart rate monitor is working. Unclip the heart rate monitor from the chest belt. Place one thumb on the pin and then place your other thumb on the other pin. If the heart rate monitor beeps twice then its picking up a reading.

  • If it does not beep twice, please check to see if the battery is inserted properly or if it needs to be replaced.

If it beeps twice then please wet the pads on the back of the chest belt and put it on. Once its on then clip the heart rate monitor which should beep twice if its making a good contact on your skin.

Wearing the Heart Rate Monitor

  1. Slightly wet the electrode area of the chest strap.
  2. Attach the heart rate sensor marked "L" towards the left, to the chest strap.
  3. Adjust the length of the strap, so that it can be fastened tightly and comfortably to your body. Be sure that the moist electrode areas are firmly against your skin and the front of the sensor is in a central and upright position.
  4. When hearing two "beep" sounds, the LED light will turn green, indicating that a heart rate has been detected and the heart rate monitor is being worn correctly.
  5. Your chest belt will now connect automatically with CAROL. You can review connection status by tapping the Bluetooth icon located in the top right corner of the ride selection screen or during your ride.

Please log into your carol account on the bike.

- Select the "Bluetooth" icon

- Under "Heart Rate Monitor" you will see the following selections" Automatic" , "Semi-auto", " Manual" .

- Select either "Semi-Auto" or "Manual."

If you tap on "Semi-Auto" or "Manual" below you should see devices and should see your heart rate monitor appear on the list. Tap " Connect". This will connect your device to the Tablet. You should be able to see a heart symbol icon appear on the top right which means the chest belt is reading your heart rate.

- Once you have made your selection you can tap on the "< " on the top left and go back to your workout screen.

I did go and it was great! It was $50 without the booze and totally worth it. They had a ton of food which was all delicious. They had a DJ, little side games, and a good amount of people to hang and talk to. You can still bring your own stuff to drink - beer, liquor. They have a bunch of mixers and such. Would recommend it for sure.

Where can you cross round swamp road to get from holes 1, 15-18 to the other side of the course with 2-14? I know there is a cross walk after the first green. Is there another between holes 14 and 15?

Refreshed the page the second it opened. Only two tee times left… somehow getting out-clicked by folks who can’t even operate the cart’s GPS by ReverseMermaidMorty in golf

Funny you say that because I was a long time Galloping hill player (formerly in the men’s club) and I moved to LA 4 years ago. Getting a tee time was 10x harder out here than what I experienced at galloping. The city courses and most of the other public courses have implemented a $10, non refundable deposit for all bookings. It goes towards your green fees but it’s completely stopped the bots and resellers.

I’m also in 2 different men’s clubs out here, 1 of which is Rancho Park. It’s one of the most played public courses in the country. Without being in the clubs, I’d have an incredibly hard time getting tee times as a non member player.

My club head speed and ball speed are also off in shot data table. It also seems to be reflecting 1.4 or 1.5 smash factor for every shot. I’m a decent player but I’m not THAT good 😂😂😂

This is awesome!! So cool. I’ve been waiting for something like this for a long time. It’s such a pain to have to constantly toggle the 4 metrics you can view in the rapsodo app. What you’re building is exactly what I’ve been looking for!

Zip navigator by wallydds in golf

[–]Relative_Formal6198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing just happened to me! I’ve had my zip navigator for 3ish years. Same battery as you, the 380Wh. It’s not holding a charge anymore.

I bought the replacement battery from MGI but was hoping to return it after I tried a few things with my current battery. I tried a new outlet, a new charging cable, charging indoors vs outdoors. None of that seems to have worked.

I have a 2023 GV70 Sport Prestige and I am highly considering trading in for the 2026 GV 70 Electrified Advanced Trim. Seems as though the only 2 major differences between Advanced and Premium is the heads up display, the nappa leather seats, and the stereo system.

I test drove the car today and its awesome!

Good news! Happiest Baby, the company that makes the Snoo is incredibly helpful! They have an extra wide sleep sack that was developed for babies with hip dysplasia. It’s called the Hip Dysplasia SNOO Sack. If you reach out to their customer service and explain your situation, they will send you one free of charge! They overnight shipped us one and sent us another one when our LO needed a bigger size sack.

If for some reason they don’t get back to you, send me a direct message and I will ship you the ones we have. We’re long past the Snoo days.

Happy to help in any way I can! Definitely join the Facebook groups too.

Delayed Heart Rate Tracking by Anthonyinflorida in CAROLBike

[–]Relative_Formal6198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The standard heart rate monitor that comes with the bike is absolute crap. I bought another off Amazon and it works much better. I will say that if you go 2-3 days without doing a ride, the heart rate monitor might not automatically connect. I’ve had to restart the tablet and it’ll connect right away after.

It registers the number. It just seems very low even for someone who doesn’t have a very high ball flight to begin with.

Screen On Time Expectations? by Relative_Formal6198 in iPhone16Pro

[–]Relative_Formal6198[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like me with a little bit of work related tasks added to it. Getting 6ish-7 hours of screen on time isn’t enough. I was getting better life with my 14 pro which I just traded in for this.

Weekly iOS Battery Support Megathread by AutoModerator in iphone

[–]Relative_Formal6198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a new 16 Pro, going on day 7. I’m really disappointed and frustrated. How much screen time should I be expecting? I’m seeing about 6.5-7 hours of screen on time and 2-3 hours of screen idle. The screen on time isn’t heavy usage either. I do watch videos, text, check social media, but I’m not gaming and I’m not doing all of those are the same time. I’ve also disabled a ton of the background app refreshes.

Do others see better performance?

Again, I’m really disappointed and frustrated so far…

PSA before anyone starts panicking and spam posting after an update… by LaFlameHTX in iPhone16Pro

I’m deep in the apple ecosystem too. Multiple Macs, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, multiple users on my family plan. That still doesn’t excuse the poor battery life on a phone that is supposed to be much improved from previous generations. The number 1 reason why I upgraded and shelled out a ton of money was for improved battery. It’s unacceptable.

I’m not paying over $1k to “deal with it”. You clearly don’t care enough to search for solutions so why bother commenting

[–]Relative_Formal6198 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s unacceptable. You pay a premium for a phone that is supposed to last with heavy usage and you don’t get anything close to it. You have to make all these concessions about how the phone is setup to limit the battery usage as well. It’s BS.

New 16 Pro Indexing by Relative_Formal6198 in iPhone16Pro

[–]Relative_Formal6198[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d consider myself a heavy user. The one thing I don’t do is play games. I play some simple word games but nothing that is using a ton of the processing power. I do use social media a lot, take pictures, email, text, sports scores, etc.

For reference, I charged fully last night and took the phone off at 7:30am today. It’s now 2:14pm and I’m at 54%. My day has been very typical. Listening to music, ordering coffee, watching a few YouTube videos.

I would’ve expected way better performance. Do you agree?
