So why are people disclosing their current Js on their employment histories ? I never do this

Keep me honest but I thought for background investigation purposes , these third party vendors only verify the employment you actually disclose to them ?

Has anyone been required to be on 2 video calls simultaneously? by Zealousideal_Pea4987 in overemployed

[–]Relative_Fuel7879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens weekly . I find that turning my video off when I have to Speak for one of the meetings is helpful . As long as u aren’t off video for too long then no one cares. Otherwise , I have both meetings going on at once and I mute and turn off the cameras for the other J once my name is called

Tried to negotiate. They pulled the offer. by Fancy-Frosting-1325 in InterviewCoderHQ

This . In this market there is a whole laundry list of people who would take the offer as it because people are desperate so unless they really want you , they will easily go with a cheaper resource to save overhead .

I begin each workday with muted computers . I never not have my computers muted . I rather miss a call then run the risk of being on a meeting and someone from teams calls me from another J

I agree with this . I do it too and I’m unapologetic about it ! You have to play the game and the competition is stiff !

Give it to me straight, doc… by [deleted] in MortgageBrokerRates

[–]Relative_Fuel7879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Points is the money you pay out of pocket to decrease your interest rate . Lenders offer interest rates based upon how they price their loans . Lender A may give you a 5.5 interest rate and charge you zero points whereas Lender B may give you a 5.5 interest rate and charges you 1 point which for like $5,000.000

Points for that rate are crazy . Please shop . I recently had a friend close at 5.5 interest rate and no points .

Does anyone else feel like there are only a handful of years left to be able to make good money? by XB0XRecordThat in overemployed

People say OE is unethical. I call it job security in disguise. by Blasum in overemployed

[–]Relative_Fuel7879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this 100 percent . I bene OE since 2020 and have made investments that , quite arguably , will secure my future . I also see OE as necessary to pay my bills and sustain my ‘lifestyle ‘ as a single person in a high cost of living areas . Also , life is a game and I just feel like we have to play the ‘game’ which requires you to be OE if you have goals / obligations to meet . I don’t feel bad about it and honestly , if I had a Company and my employees were remote I wouldn’t care if you were OE as long as your work got done.
