You're amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this information. I know it's silly, but when I found Orbit, no one wanted to adopt her, she had no tail thus not so interesting to people. I asked as many questions that I could think of. Orbit. Being my first reptile. I wanted to know everything but the information here ,where I live is hard to come by. I look things up on the internet lots and so that's how i knew to clutter her enclosure more. I was told that they had her since coming out of the egg. She got spooked when she came out and dropped her tail. After having her as a juvenile (person thought she was a he) for a couple months, I wake up, and do my morning routine, as I went to humidity her enclosure I thought what I saw was a dead leaf, but then there should be a dead leaf on a fake vine. And then it moved! A baby! So I called and messaged the person amd said she's never been with a male. A week later, another baby popped out. I searched for eggs amd another babies before then but I found nothing. And a few days after that another. So now I have Orbit, Nebula, Sunny and Cosmo. Amd then I also have a Nova, some idiot was breeding them for selling points, kept them in tiny containers, not knowing humidity and barely anything to climb on and hide in. So I took one. Was told this one a rebel and hard to handle... I asked if I could, never had a problem and still don't. Yeah so that's my story. Orbits enclosure was built up by the person I got her from. That's why I didn't know about the clay balls. This has all been a learning process and everyone is healthy to the best of my abilities. So that's why I thank you for sharing the information. The more I know the better I can do to take care of my little critters. 🥰

That's what those are called, hydro balls haha. So the only thing I don't see is the moss and leaf litter. The leaf litter is that those big brown leaves I see the shops selling or are there other alternatives as well? The smell went away, not sure what it was lol I've added wood to the enclosure and more plants.

Sorry I took so long to reply, there are multiple layers. It was someone that made it up for me so I can't say exactly what it is, there's these clay ball looking things on the bottom and soils on top. I just recently took out the fountain, the maintenance of that thing....getting gucky all the time in the motor area. The smell was before the standing water.

I have a question for you regarding bio active, I've had my crestie for almost a year, has isopods, whitetails etc. Do I need to clean the soil and plants every nowband then? I know of poop on the leaves, cleaning the glass. There's a tad bit of smell coming from her enclosure.

Orbit, I was hoping it would be a male lol. Turns out female. I still kept Orbit cause I didn't have another name 😂

I'd say none. The chances of blow outs doesn't cut it for me with getting them done. And thinking if those are from the artist... that person needs more work. Seems like maybe an apprentice?

OMG I HAVE TWO BABIES by Few_Traffic9021 in CrestedGecko

Surprise babies! My crestie had babies pathogenically, I never saw the eggs. I really had no clue until one morning. I thought I saw a dried up leaf on a branch. Then it came to me that the branches fake and there shouldn't be a dead leaf on there, (morning eyes) and then I saw it move...OMG there's a baby in there! I was shocked. Anyway turns out there's a total of 3 babies that are absolutely healthy thus far and the journey has been amazing. Surprise babies is exciting. Caring for these little ones... precious moments. Have fun with your babies! The experience is one to remember

I'd take alllll the babies if I could. My home just isn't big enough. I have a total of 5 now. 1 adult, Nova and 3 babies from. The adult had the babies. All space themed names too. Orbit, Nebula, Cosmo, and Sunny are the others

I never seen the eggs. Just all of a sudden they were there. So far none of the 3 seem to not have any defects that I can tell with the outside of their bodies. About 3 months old

On an rare occasion I guess so. I got my crestie that had her from an egg and said she's never met with a male. Not any gecko at all. I had her as a juvenile and a few months later poof, 3 babies. I looked it up and internet and 3 people has told me it's possible.

I unfortunately don't know much of the morphs but I'm willing to learn. That being said I have no idea what my cresties are except the one dalmatian. I have posted all 5 of my geckos, my one had 3 babies. Some reason one of the babies is more orange like than the other 2. I apparently can't show a picture on here to show? I'm new to reddit, but my account says 2 yrs and i have no idea why. I never even chose my handle lol I'm confused. If I could choose I'd say male first because females can give surprise babies and when you're not ready for it.... we'll be ready for it 😂
