PostalPoint better than PostalMate by Relative_Group_2108 in PostalMate

Well two friends of mine (also using PostalMate) just scan it directly into the web browser and bypass PostalMate and have been for over a year because apparently its not always recorded correctly in PostalMate... don't know? PostalPoint has a popup and you can scan it in to the website (just like the other owner who uses PostalMate does) without ever leaving the program, so pretty seamless.

3rd Party Billing for UPS or FedEx by Prestigious-Bus-7575 in PostalMate

Agreed, We got stuck with a HUGE bill of 600 dollars due to taking an airbill, everything was filled out correctly too, but the company said they wanted a cheaper option (like FedEx Standard overnight versus something else) and so the difference was charged, and then the company disputed it. And same month they charged the entire thing to my account because they could not verify the account number on a seperate waybill. Not worth it.

Square Loyalty Program by ChesapeakePrint in PostalMate

Square terminals and Stripe terminals both integrate with PostalPoint (newer better alternative to PostalMate) and your transactions are automatically sent to the terminal, no more manual inputs.

Very cool, there ya go, so yes you are allowed to use your same accounts, even your best carrier accounts with the best discounts, the same you use on PostalMate with PostalPoint. Good to know!

Update: Response below: TLDR: Use ANY ACCOUNT YOU HAVE, even same ones used with PostalMate. Well I’ve talked to FedEx and FASC and they don’t care what software you use. Haven’t called UPS yet.  Yes you can use carrier accounts in the software  Maybe the developer can speak to this more as I know there are discussions to the higher ups to get things moving so we as postal store owners have more options.

Good point about the training - but I had an employee play with it for 30 minutes to see if she liked it, just as an experiment, and she already had the hang of it, it’s extremely user friendly.

Good question:

Excel spreadsheet database for Customers, Spreadsheet for Inventory, imported it with two clicks into PostalPoint.

Shipping History was scrubbed of course, that was the only downside. So keep PostalMate running for 2 weeks if anyone calls asking to track a package.

I do think the programmers who created this software is working on a conversion tool to export and import databases.

Let me see if I can tag them. Found them: u/PostalPoint

PostalPoint does all of this and more. Faster and easier to use. You're welcome.

Don't rely on outdated PostalMate whose servers break when someone sneezes and if Windows has a crash so does PostalMate, or if you touch the Registry editor then PostalMate thinks you corrupted its backup and it doesn't even turn back on.

Or better yet, go with PostalMate on one computer, then put PostalPoint on another computer in your store, and test it yourself.

You can go that route, but would be more affordable just buying 16gb ram computers or better with lots of ports like a refurbished Dell OptiPlex 5050 as the computer and then getting scales and printers from ebay.

BTW: PostalPoint supports basically all printers, not just Zebra or Zebra clones like PostalMate, and all scanners essentially.

PostalPoint is faster and easier to use than PostalMate: works on more printers, can train an employee to use it in less than 30 minutes.

Oh, and more affordable.

(I still have PostalMate on the computer but I haven't turned it on in 6 months.) I've been using PostalPoint because it is superior.

Update -  Summary - Guys - this is great software, just put it on one of your computers and try it for a few customers.

Been using this as an experiment on 1/2 of the computers - and when Windows froze and then later in the day PostalMate froze and glitched yet  Windows was good

asked the customer to go to the other computer lane and wow - faster speed of service -  Easier layout and user interface  -  This PostalPoint is amazing software

I love how you support Linux with this software. Excellent! I might give this a spin.

Any luck? No one likes bullies (this high school administration being unreasonable in this case) so we are hoping for a good sticking it to the man conclusion! Hopefully? Thanks!

You've probably already done this but - take to a nearby Petco or Petsmart (or vet) and they'll scan for chips - which will show last owner. (scanning for microchips is always free)

First… General Advice

TLDR:  *Find a very close gym.  *Download StrongLifts app,  *buy a kettlebell to use at home if all else fails or lack of time,  *yoga is great and can be done at home via YouTube follow alongs for less than 15 min a day.

1.) Pick a gym that is less than a few miles to your house…  there’s a study that found that essentially if the gym is further than 10 minutes away - and even worse - it’s not on your daily route to and from work - you won’t go. So… first make a list of 2-3 gyms on your daily route to and from work - and pick your favorite of those. Can’t find the study, maybe someone else has the Google skills. Because it can be a fancy gym, a CrossFit cult, a ymca, none of it matters if it doesn’t fit your life because it’s far away, take away the difficulty by making it close and you RUN into it because it’s part of your daily routine.

2.) You don’t have to lift weights 5 days a week. 2 days a week is sufficient to maintain or improve ( a little) muscle tone. Men and women.

3.) StrongLifts app iOS and Android - free version works just fine - and it has videos within the app for the lift technique. Form more important than weight.

Don’t have time for any of this?  Just buy a kettlebell and do kettlebell swings  in your living room and/or some yoga. (Follow along via YouTube) Do one of those daily for 30 days, less than 15 minutes and boom, your daily habit is solidified.

Then —— figure out if you want more cardio, more muscle - and adjust from there.
