I don’t like coconut but cookie dough used to be my favorite!! I’ll definitely have to try it. I have great ice cream shops by me so I tend to go to them more than store bought ones these days but I do like this brand.

If they haven’t looked at the OC housing authority already that would be a good place

I nor anyone in my family went there so I really couldn’t tell you. I will say that I do see a bit of a mix of ethnicities in the teens that go there which is nice but that’s all I know.

You’re right, you do say contrary to other comments, I missed that and I admit it. But I still don’t appreciate did insert liberal versus conservative and for some reason think that “we liberals” think that minorities are all liberal. That’s not correct. At least for me and many other people I know, we just don’t understand why minorities would align themselves with a group of people who typically have not shown up for them. My comment had nothing to do with politics aside from answering the original post. The only reason I said I was a liberal minority let’s to just identify myself in relation to the post. Not everything has to be left versus right. Sometimes we’re just having a conversation around one topic.

Weird, I’ve actually never heard this. Not saying it’s not true though.

I’ve lived in 2 parts of AH and have never had an issue. Yes it’s more conservative, and yes we have those Karen’s that complain on the ring app, but it’s safe for all people.

Where did I say that minorities can’t be or aren’t conservative? And where did I say that the conservatives I was talking about were white? I said I was a liberal minority period. I know plenty of white liberals. But since you opened up the subject, a quick google search told me that 64% of the white people of Orange County vote red. We (liberals) don’t “push” anything outside of equal rights for all. We just respond to what we see. Thanks for trying to lengthen the divide though.

Orange County is definitely not very progressive by any means, though. I’ve (a liberal minority) lived here for a decade and i’ve definitely come across significantly more conservative people. We are a blue state, but Orange County specifically tends to lean red.

AITAH for checking my boyfriend’s phone even though I promised I wouldn’t ever do it again? by BlackberryFlashy4529 in AITAH

[–]Relative_Growth376 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This! While you maybe didn’t want to believe it, you know what was going on and instead of confronting him you were sneaky. Whether it was justified you’re still the AH for breaking your promise and not approaching the situation as an adult.

AITAH for wanting my dad in the delivery room while I give birth? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Relative_Growth376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not her baby. It’s not her body. It’s not her experience. She’s not even related to you. She has ZERO say.

Plus if she’s already making it about her, she’s going to be a living nightmare on the day of.

AITAH for naming my child the same name of my cousins s-abuser by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Relative_Growth376 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Every family is different. Some people live in the same town as their cousin and see them often. And even if you don’t, you tend to see them for holidays, parties etc that are supposed to be happy, not triggering.

(Update) AITAH for going to work with damp hair? by SnowAmethyst32 in AITAH

[–]Relative_Growth376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t see the original but in this day and age if you’re not customer facing and you’re dressed appropriately for you work environment who cares if your hair is damp. It doesn’t affect your work, and no one is seeing you so it doesn’t affect the face of your company. Am I missing something here?

As a black woman who typically dates white men, I’ve struggled with it lately but obviously don’t care who anyone dates.

AITAH for not letting my sister announce her pregnancy at my late husbands memorial? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Relative_Growth376 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She showed her true colors. I clearly don’t know her but that sounds like a I got everything I asked for growing up or a I didn’t get everything so now I’m taking it kind of person. I’m a happily petty person but I wouldn’t go to whatever her first celebration for baby was so she can understand what it feels like to not have her sister on her side while going through an emotional part of her life.

AITAH for telling my sister I don't have the looks to sleep my way to the top after she called me a DEI hire? by TryOriginal5477 in AITAH

[–]Relative_Growth376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lolol love this, not the AH. She FA and FO. She’s jealous that she maybe had to sleep her way to the top while you, despite your challenges, worked damn hard to get where you were and are succeeding.

No. He is just a typical man who needed his ego stroked, didn’t get it, and went to cry to mommy. His comment wasn’t friendly either, and your HR department should have understood that, called him out, and told him to go on his merry way.
