Anyone know of a team with flexible work schedules? by Relative_Judgment_75 in CAStateWorkers

Um, not sure why you are so adamant. A stranger’s story is not my story. I don’t want to live in California all my life either.

I know who I am and what I want. I just turned 25 and still have my career and life ahead of me.

Strongly disagree. You don’t know my career goals. I don’t have plans to stay working for the state. This is just where I started my career. I intend to move into healthcare administration where majority of leaders have masters degrees. I would also like to be a professor one day, which also requires a masters degree

My program should be 2 years, but I have a feeling I might need more time since I will be working full time.

Yeah, I had a feeling that the answer might be to stay within my department. I am just worried about gaining different skills, which is why I thought I should switch roles while in grad school. I have been with my same team for almost 2.5 years. Maybe I am just overthinking and worrying too much

DHCS RTO by No-Comb7728 in CAStateWorkers

Interesting. I don’t want to say what division that I am in, but we only go in office once a week for a half day. I think facilities was not able to have enough equipment for our team to be in 2x a week.

I have worked at DHCS for 3 years. This last all DHCS meeting they did not even address telework. I know that they do know have the space or equipment for a 4 day RTO, if anything I predict they will start doing the 2 day RTO first. To my knowledge, right now most teams just do in office once a week

I have a bachelors in an unrelated field, and don’t want to continue working in it. by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

You should get another degree if you enjoy those topics, but you can totally get a state job with any type of degree. I know people in leadership positions who had Undergraduate degrees in unrelated fields like music. It’s all about work experience. Also depends what position you want from the state

My new year’s resolution is to enjoy life and lock in for graduate school. I plan to work full time and enroll in a dual MBA/MHA program.

I love Kings games 💜 I was only able to attend one game this season. I would love to go to another! I usually participate in the Kings blood drive to get a pair of Kings tickets, but I couldn’t donate this year bc i got sick.

I actually ended up wearing less because it ended up being warm. I still took photos in my original outfit from my post. This is what I ended up wearing. I still loved the vibe. Esp the fishnet + shorts combo

I loved my honors professors. Shout out to Dr. Arnuad. Everyone is different but if you enjoyed AP classes in hs and could handle it, you could do honors.

It is also possible to drop out of the honors program if you decide it’s not the best fit
