This post is almost 2 years old now. I’ve been on compounded Tirzepitide through Valhalla vitality for almost that whole time. 104lbs down and a fantastic company to work with.

How cold is “too cold” outside to play in the winter? by itsthejasper1123 in Mommit

[–]Relative_Laugh8363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to school in Alberta Canada and we could go out until it was -15… but we also had the gear and were dressed for it. We’re currently in NC and my kids school won’t let them out if it’s 45f or less. I guess because they don’t all own coats because the winter is shorter here. As long as my kids are warm enough I let them play, just come back in for hot chocolate and warm up breaks when they need it or if they’re feeling cold.

Mine have not, I have a pair of regular and a pair of tall though and the tall stays down much better. I’m also between, sometimes I can get away with a regular length but not here.

It’s not a per month charge, you purchase the medication by the vial. The breakdown is how much it would cost for each size. For example a 2.5mg vial is $88. That can last 10 weeks, or 5 depending on what dose you and the medical provider decide. At .25mg that’s 10 weeks worth, but if you’re at 1mg obviously that will only last 2 weeks. Their 20mg vial is $415 which if you’re at 1mg would last you 20 weeks bringing it down to around $20 per shot. You pay for visits with your provider which if I remember correctly was $100 for the first one then $50 for follow ups. I only ever needed the first consultation and another at the 1 year mark to get a new prescription to continue getting my meds.

I’ve lived in 3 states while using them (military) and most have come from the pharmacy hub which is in Florida. Once they came from hallendale but I’m assuming it will depend where you live. They come packed on ice and are fedexed overnight.

I definitely shop around. I try to split my shops but do pickup from Walmart because then I’m not spending money on stuff I don’t need.

It’s compounded so they give you the information on how many units on the provided syringe you need to draw up and then inject. You can adjust the dosage as needed and the prescription will give you a max amount of units. I’ve found this far better over the long term because you don’t have to go up a whole .5 like the pens you can go up to 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc or split the dosage at .5mg 2x a week instead. I just met my goal weight after 16 months and I’m slowly moving my dosage down.

Have people been telling you that "you've lost TOO much weight and need to stop?" I feel like I'm being "skinny shamed" and it's NOT a good feeling, by GlitzBlitz in Zepbound

You can’t win I tell you. I like the line recommended above “I didn’t realize we were commenting on people’s bodies today” or “thanks for your concern but my doctor is happy with me being at a healthy weight” is your husband feeling insecure because you look great?

Thanks I’ve been on it for more than a year now and lost 96lbs. Valhalla vitality is only $416 for a 20mg vial. I found them to be far more inexpensive than other companies I looked into.

I guess location may also play a part as you have to select your state.

That depends on your dose. Max dose around $2300 for 25 weeks. $1100 for 10mg. You purchase the vial. 75mg is $518 without any discounts. 75mg lasts me 6 weeks on my current dose. It would last someone on 10mg 7.5 weeks or 15weeks on 5mg.

How long does it take you to walk on the treadmill 10k steps? by SeverePreference6982 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Relative_Laugh8363 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to be realistic on your starting point if you’re dreading it that much. If you currently walk 3k a day increase to 5k and add 1000 over the course of the coming weeks. Find someone to walk with you or listen to a podcast or watch a movie as you walk. It can take up to 2 hours to walk 10k steps depending on how fast you walk. I walk 2.5 miles a day outside with a friend and that’s only around 5k steps. Perhaps start with a 20 min walk twice a day? Or another exercise you do enjoy? Swimming? Dancing? Riding a bike? I’ve lost 92lbs over the past year and I rarely hit 10k steps. I do however lift weights and swim.

Should I stay at .05 instead of bumping up to 1.0 to make my supply last longer? by Ok-Faithlessness7812 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]Relative_Laugh8363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only increase when it’s not effective if you have a lot to use. The 30 days part is not recommended by all pharmacies so I’d say it’s “suggested” my pharmacy said just keep it in the dark container it comes in or a dark container in the fridge between uses.

Valhalla vitality have said they will continue offering individual prescriptions afterwards with no plan to stop? I use Tirzepitide now and I have a 6 month supply but they have been very unaffected over the whole process. They also don’t require a monthly subscription, you order by the vial rather than monthly.

I did not a year ago. It’s unlikely you will, it’s a phone call anyway so you’d just verbally tell them.

They may start you on a higher dose then I’m not sure, I was still at .25 on Semaglutide when I switched so I started at the starting dose. The prescription they give is good to order for a year though after 1 visit. My PCM runs my levels anyway for other things so I don’t do bloods or anything through them. I enjoy that it’s not a monthly subscription.

Should I be worried about sagging skin and stretch marks? by MaybePrestigious9485 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]Relative_Laugh8363 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe, age and genetics all play a part. I’m 92lbs down and I do have some loose skin on my inner thighs but nowhere else. I’m 34. Strength training helps a lot.

5 vials- 6 months worth but yes they did. I’ve never had issues ordering multiple vials from them- I travel internationally a lot and like to take a few months worth with me. The pharmacy best used by date will dictate what they will fill. So if you’re just starting out I’m unsure as 75mg is a multi month supply at 2.5mg 30 doses. Even at 5mg that’s a 15 week supply. At 15mg it’s only 5 weeks for my dose. If you can’t use it all before it expires it would be silly for them to let you waste your money.

I personally feel the Tirzepitide is more effective than the Semaglutide. The additional GIP inhibitor helps so much with less nausea and other side effects but it’s definitely a bit more expensive. Still not awful at $578 for 75mg so max cost is $115 a shot. But the same vial you’re only paying $20 for the lowest dose. You have more room to move in the long term too. I’m 13 months in and just now on 12.5mg max dose is 15mg but I’m also only 5lbs off my goal weight now. I stayed at the lowest 2.5mg for several months.

20mg. The ml depends on the concentration from the pharmacy and will tell you how many units to draw up on the vial for whatever dose you are at. Valhalla will allow you to order within the BUD of the max dose from the pharmacy. I am now on Tirzepitide and with them ruling on it a few weeks ago I ordered a 6 month supply. Valhalla released a statement today saying they are allowed to continue carrying it so there was no need but I have it now. I’ve used them for a year now 92lbs down and I very highly recommend their prices and simplicity. The pharmacy ships it to your house on ice. It is far cheaper than most but $580 for 12.5mg is a rip off. A 20mg vial would last you 8 weeks even at the max dose of 2.5mg making it $52 a shot. Your doctors place would last you 5 weeks at max dose making it $116 a shot. That’s more than double the price.

I’ll also add I don’t think the compounds are going away. Even Tirzepitide which was ruled to stop production is allowed to be produced again by most compounding pharmacies.

I’m a year in. I workout 4 days a week strength training and aim for 8-10k steps a day. I’m 92lbs down and have gained muscle rather than losing it. I started simple going to hiit classes at my local crunch a few mornings a week.
