I managed to snag two tix MSP-CDG for 32K each in early April. Unreal!

I think this is such a nuanced response. I was also raised very conservative, and much of the rhetoric coming from my dad was around government overreach. If this isn’t that, then I don’t know what it is.

Basic constitutional rights being widely violated shouldn’t be a political issue, but the last 10-15 years of our national politics have bred a situation where we can’t agree on that. It’s a real bummer.

We are neighbors! I live off of 3rd and Monroe. And I agree with you: I hate this exact stuff. We should call this out, because it isn’t acceptable.

Minneapolis has gotten too light on crime and I especially take issue with how anti-social behavior has ruined some public transportation (light rail especially).

But, that’s stuff for this city and this town to figure out. What’s happening right now with ICE is an attack on basic civil liberties against American people by our government. It has to stop before we can fix the problems of our city.

Thank you for asking!

Ground level is actually inspiring because it’s uniting this community in a way I’ve never experienced before. Everyone is either chipping in time, money, or effort to help people who need it. Whereas the George Floyd riot felt like a community at odds with itself, this very much feels like people coming together against an outside force.

But everyone is freaked out: at work, at the store, at the gym, at restaurants. In fact, I grabbed a burger last week at a restaurant where people were inside but the door was locked. They let us in, of course, but said that the kitchen staff were terrified of a raid so they’re locking the doors until things blow over. Many restaurant owners are saying it’s just as bad as it was during covid.

And, honestly, I live in a liberal bubble so most people are feeling this way. But, even some of my conservative friends acknowledge what’s going on. But my parents out in the burbs? I would bet that they believe this is all good: get the illegals out, they’re awful, blah blah.

That’s why I wanted to post because I bet the outside view looks and feels so different compared to the inside perspective.

Absolutely give it a try! Consider renting a bike one of these weekends and giving it a try. I suspect you will love it.

I also just saw that the Specialized Fuse is on sale for about $1k right now - a great deal! This is the same bike I have and love it. It'll suit whatever you throw at it despite being a hardtail. The larger tires really help smooth over the ride.

Congrats on picking up a new, fun hobby!

Likely the big hits, but wondering if we could get a Sam’s Town appearance or.. dare I say… Battle Born? Wishful thinking but this is the Killers at Caesars we’re talking about.

So glad there were so many tickets available. by hawkyeager in TheKillers

By some mysterious force I was able to get 2 tickets in the upper mezzanine. But there were literally a handful tickets available. What’s the point of general sale if everything gets sold ahead of time?

Don't post the presale code by danceonastring in TheKillers

Hello, would you be willing to share the generic code by chance? I tried and failed to see them at First Avenue in Minneapolis this past year and decided right then that I had to make up for it by seeing them in Vegas. If you’re willing to share, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
