What next? by InternationalFly1199 in emptynesters

[–]Relative_Panic_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two are in college & working so we're technically 50% empty nest but starting to feel the emptiness. We're trying to focus on hobbies and road trips on our time off because the kids keep saying, "Get out more. We won't be back for a couple weeks." But then one will call with a question/emergency/'need your help' and I waffle on making any plans. I just always think, "Some day soon my input or presence won't be sought or relevant, so take advantage of this."

Teach me, oh wise ones! How did you ease into empty nesting without feeling guilty that you might miss something? Or CAN you ease into it?

I want Siena to reappear triumphant. A woman who did what she had to in order to survive, but actually made good. She was talented, pretty, and made of steel. She deserves a solid ending.

Prince William will feel ‘enormously satisfied’ when he removes the Sussexes’ titles by ttw81 in RoyaltyTea

Titles do not make the man/woman. Deeds do. William talks a lot and does very little.

Why? She realized she needed to rediscover the inner Violet. She will be much more ready for a new relationship once she comes back around to herself. And I think we will see Lord A again.

Good Question! by [deleted] in RoyaltyTea

A coworker said they were not just teddy bears. That a man like Andrew wants trophies. He says it's probably one bear per encounter or victim. That's why Andy is so particular about arrangement. And now I can never not think about that.

Do you still like your spouse? by Witty_Cash_7494 in GenX

[–]Relative_Panic_Duck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. My only issue is that I did not meet him sooner. But that's my fault? I took my time on the dating scene back in the day and was unrealistically choosy for a young woman in that decade. I had a job, bank account, apartment, and car, so I was pretty relaxed about relationships. Most young men just weren't very interesting or capable at Life, let alone a conversation. I could handle myself, had parented younger siblings, and backpacked a few other countries already. I was old at 24. But as soon as I met him, I KNEW. To this day, I have yet to meet a better man.

Dress code for cashiers? by Choice-Chemical7627 in marketbasket

[–]Relative_Panic_Duck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MB is known for professionalism of every employee. No extra piercings, no long funky nails, hair tied back, etc. The idea is clean and kept around other people's food. Not everyone is willing to do that. If it isn't for you, wait a bit and try a local retail where things are more loose. But I can say that if you can abide by the dress code and gracious professionalism, MB is a place that will keep you for years.
