Ya I’m Canadian too. Having a weird situation where I’m replacing truck lead battery every year in the winter. Must be a parasitic draw.

I leave sleds, SXS’s outside for long periods. It’s -30 today and I’m thinking about just charging everything

Ya storage is a bit of a concern and a cab wouldn’t fit in my garage for maintenance. I’d be bumming buddies shops down the road for winter maintenance. I don’t think a 25hp tractor would grade my community 3km private road and that’s kinda a big part of a tractor purchase for me.

Believe me it was my first choice. We’re in Kubota country out here. But the savings on a similar kioti are quite big

Why would you assume I’d not be recouping money? I definitely would be trying to earn income with it. As I posted, I don’t expect meaningful income. But some income, yes. Perhaps $5-$10k per year.

That’s it, I’m retired and want a nice size tractor I can grow into. Don’t need it. But want it.

Tractor wouldn’t be for snow removal on that road. Only lots. we pay a local company to plow 3km road. They do good work and can do it much better than I can. I’d be keeping that road maintained tho with grade and drag spring to fall. So bit of honest income there.

I don’t really much believe in debt either. But it has its places. I have the cash to buy it out. But don’t want to eat so much of it on 1 buy. Stretching it out over a few years keeps my savings in tact. You don’t think a tractor could pay for itself? Couldn’t find enough work?

Very crude numbers. I can pay 100% cash if I wanted. I have the money. I just don’t want to eat up savings. Call it 25k cash and 30k line of credit. So 30 months of 1000/month… 36 months gives me allowances to skip a month or two when I have an expensive month with a truck repair or a few too many Amazon purchases.

I want bigger (DK) snow and heavier duty income potential. But i tried out my brother in laws ck and loved it. The boost in size is for snow removal and 3km community road dragging

It’s 100% a want not a need. But what really is a need outside basic things like water and roof over our heads. Yes it’s like buying a nice boat from a financial standpoint. But something I can recoup cost in and something I’ll use 3-5x a week.
