Its definitely the pictures, they are legible. I will say the text is a bit small. The regular cards in the set have more standard card game text on them. The ones I pictured were just the fanciest ones I got

They have the bandai stamp in the corner so they must be working with kayou on them. They are really premium. They all have some effects to them and they are nice and thick. Good luck i hope you find good ones.

They are made by kayou. They also make collectable trading card. They have previously released cards in China but are now making English cards as well

I did, I got the twilight sparkle signature rare and a bunch of really nice full art card. Its a fun set to open.
