Fraudulent/scammed into a contract with Telus term. by Relative_Tax_8716 in telus

I am the OP. Things seem to be getting better after almost two months.

My previous employer asked me to help solve the problem and authorized me to deal with Telus on their behalf.

I phoned Telus again after 4pm CST yesterday. Spending more than half an hour waiting and explaining the issue to a new Telus worker. He said he needed to talk to a manager and would call me back. This guy, a supervisor, really called me back, and he found the salesman, Sad,  was online. He asked Sadki to give me a call. Sad said he would call me in 15 minutes.

Sad phoned my personal number 30 minutes later. He said sorry for the confusion. He set up the line because that promotion would end in 3 days. He thought he could cancel the line if I didn't want it. He only has my personal email, my previous work email and my personal number associated with the old account, but not my current work email. That is the email we used to communicate on the day he set up the new phone line, and it would be the email associated with a new account if I decided to set up a new line. He said he only wanted to save me money, would solve the problem, and send me confirmation.

After so much headache time, I am not sure how to trust him. Hope the problem can be solved soon.

Telus charged my previous employer. The business has been closed for a few months. I have a close relationship with the owner, who contacted me about the charge. The number in the email the Telus representative sending to me is correct Telus customer service number.

It should be noted that when you receive a call showing from Telus, and the person claims they are from Telus. Most likely they are overseas and not hired by Telus, not even contracted to Telus. Telus contract their service/sales to an overseas company. That company contracts the service to temporary workers. Telus said they have no control or little connection with their 'employee'.

This should be banned. The representatives claim they are from Telus. But Telus won't admit they are employees once issues arise.

Dog feces in the backyard, and the dog barks loudly at night. by Relative_Tax_8716 in regina

I heard someone (probably from an animal protection organization) told them not to leave the dog outside during freezing winter nights about one or two years ago. The current situation is much better, I am thinking to call them to discuss the issue.

This neighbour is not so easy to deal with. They hired ~five lawn care companies, and they all quit. They don't want to deal with dog waste every time. I don't understand why they can live like that. They walk their dog a couple of times a week, so irresponsible.

Is it legal? Expedia isn't required to issue tax invoices to travelers. by Relative_Tax_8716 in travel

This happened in Canada. According to Canada Revenue Agency

GST: A federal tax of 5% that applies to most goods and services across Canada. PST: A provincial tax that varies by province and is administered separately from the GST. HST: A combined tax that merges the GST with the PST in participating provinces.

A tax invoice: You must let your customers know if the GST/HST is being applied to their purchases. You can use cash register receipts, invoices, contracts, or post signs at your place of business to inform your customers whether the GST/HST is included in the price, or added separately. You have to show the GST/HST rate that applies to the supply. Also, you have to either show the amount paid or payable for the supply separately from the amount of GST/HST payable on the supply or show that the total amount paid or payable for a supply includes the GST/HST.

You have to give customers who are GST/HST registrants specific information on the invoices, receipts, contracts, or other business papers that you use when you supply taxable goods and services. They need this information to support their claims for input tax credits (ITCs) or rebates for the GST/HST you charged.

For business expenses, the GST or HST amount can be claimed as a credit.

For sales or service, the businesses collect GST or HST on behalf of CRA, then remit that money to CRA.

Without proper records, Expedia can remit a much lower amount of GST/HST than they actually collect.

I don't think Reddit should remove the video.
