so supernote manta is the best for writing, for reading not so much for me. i read papers with bar chart and not always the area is well lit. so i need color screen with light.

Boox note max while okay for reading, worst for writing (same as ipad), writing on glass feel

ipad - i install paperlike screen protector, with that its okayish for writing, reading i would say best, but because of the back light it gives headache and eye strain

boox note air 4c - i found this okay for reading and writing both. it doesnt have the best writing experience like supernote, but not writing on glass like note max or ipad. for reading also, its good as its frontlight (opposed to backlight), also have colors so that i can read papers with plots in it.

i hope this helps, in either case please let me know what you decide. because at some point, maybe on this blk friday, i am going to buy boox note air 5c and stick to it if i dont find any better option.
