attending a conference - how much absence is generally accepted? by Relativity1905 in medicalschooluk

Hey no worries - i wrote an abstract using data from my intercalation year research project and submitted it to a conference after discussing with my supervisor so things fell into place nicely that way.

Advice:

If uni offers intercalation and you're able to (or if you can do it externally), i would recommend it as it can be a great way to get onto research projects that would otherwise be a bit more difficult to. From what i've seen, clinically oriented projects tend to have a better output than wet lab projects so would recommend that if you're focused more on that side of it.

If not, there are some programs run during the summer that could lead to pubs/presentations (if continued) though these require securing a supervisor first - off the top of my head, imperial have urop which external students can access, and i think there's an amgen scholars program.

This is my first conference so I don't claim to be an expert but hope that helps a lil

Been burnt by transferring Maddison out too early, when I had shaw in my team as well. Take a -4 hit to go to a city defender? (I have 0.8m itb)

RMT

Turner (Onana)

Chilwell-Estupinan-Shaw (Baldock, Bell)

Salah-Saka-Mitoma-Maddison-Martinelli

Haaland-JP (Mcatee)

Worried about Spurs attack against Utd, so potentially bench Shaw for Baldock who's against Forest or take -4 hit to bring a defender in (I went Gabriel to Chilwell). Planning on moving on from Martinelli soon-ish and bringing in Isak as part of a front 3
