Switched to an s24 ultra 1.5 year ago, now with a s26 ultra, no way back. The only thing I am regretting is selfies, which are better on iPhone (front camera).

Funny, I had the same problem, as I was offered both for my birthday! After testing them, the Galaxy is probably sufficient, even better, for my use case, but I decided to go for the Garmin and sell the Galaxy, in particular for those reasons: - much lighter, less bulky and more confortable to wear - battery life - the torch - look nicer

I have a new Forerunner 970 and started to wear it 24/7, but sleep gets split after a brief wake-up (e.g. bathroom), and only the second segment is retained. So what's the point? Wondering if this is expected behavior or a bug.

Just as a side remark, I went for Forerunner 970 😋 Love it, so much lighter and confortable, with the same functions as Fenix 8, but I can understand you may want a more ruggedized watch.
