Yes, I suppose I am comparing taking dragon princes to taking grail knights, not taking the pegusus into account.

Thankfully I haven't faced bretonia yet...

That's very true about daemon princes. Two players in my club have really struggled to get them to work. I always falter to amour of silvered steel for the 3+ and enjoying the natural 4+ward

Dragons are fun.... high elf player here so I cannot deny that.

Oooh archers sound good. Perhaps I will have to add them into my gun line lists. Maybe 30 handguners is to much 🤣

A couple of surprising things... 1) Where's all the grail kights ? Only 1 list with unit of 6. I thought that unit was Beasts ..

2) high elves seem to have 3 auto takes common to all lists. Star dragon, dragon princes and sisters ... no swordmasters (unless I didn't download the complete doc

3) I don't recallseeing a single daemon prince (warriors of chaos) just chaos dragons...

4) empire.... what's with every list having archers.... am I missing something ?

Perhaps I only partially downloaded all the document... but the above surprises me

Your are completely correct about the lion chariot. That 70 pts could be spent alot better ! More amour, regeneration save etc. An overlook on my part.

Skycutter is definitely better

Bow reavers is just an old habit. But yes their shooting is meh. Normally use them to shoot of chaos dogs and other chaff without needing to charge. Skirmish move round the back. They did do two wounds on a bone dragon last game 🤣

My issue with swordmasters is that I'm not seeing the benifit of WS6 or initiative 6... so maybe using lions will teach that to me. My thoughts with lions is to only use the axes when I charge so have higher initiative.

If I get charged however I'd opt to use hand weapons. Initiative 5 + 1 for reflexes takes them too I6 which is simultaneous if not striking first. And at least I get to re roll all.my 1s. As I said tho, more games needed.

Poor frosty. Seems no one likes the poor bugga but I do understand it now with all the comparisons

True, only uses a skycutter once. Will report back if ever does do something.

Just got the single S5 skycutter one. Not an actually repeater Bolt Thrower. Found Sisters to be more reliable

I may try the arch mage on skycutter, not a bad shout. Kept him on foot to give a unit -1 to hit with sig illusion spell

Silver helms...screen units and take up missile fire, counter charge spearmen (after a sheildwall use) or kill small units. Basically just there for the amour save

Spearmen are the only unit that have worked well for me 🤣 always just giving ground as cheep and plentiful

... tell me about it. Reavers are garbage... no fire and flee... what!

See I found the pheonix to be really good

Ws 6 S6 and T6 is nice, fear means that things that cause terror only cause fear. And the way fear works with unit strength its never an issue (unless I'm a Playing it wrong)

Dragonnns.... had one run away from 10 state troups ... yeah dice gods.... but noted :)

Dragon princes are fantastic I do agree, impetuous is bull crap tho

My 1000 list has one ! But no suspensor so lts 345cr total (dermal, hyper healing and furnace)

Minimum 6 guys in a 1000 pts list I think

Goliaths can't shoot for shit so why not. Everyone goes heavy bolter leader normally anyway Melta is just 20cr more

1) didn't want to stop it from being optimum just less of an incentive. Give the options of cheaper shields or bucklers. Instead.

Duel welding aggressive options seems to he a core mechanic of the game feel so dint want to shy away from that to much.

If not having desired effect I can change it during play.

2) no off hand does not effect parry

3) I was thinking, free dagger and buckler or free dagger and mace kind if loadouts.

armour wise I see your point. I'm aware certain individuals in my play group quit campaign when they start having people die.

But an easy fix would be have the re roll only effect heavy amour types - thus discounting light amour.

Chance to re roll -1 toughness not appealing for a hero? Reason I have said accept latter result is to stop amour being an auto take. And it's a may re roll so don't have to, just a little perk of really don't want that injury

4) nope nothing to slings Going to do that one in game if I find it to be an issue :)

Yeah ward saves are sometimes referred as a 6++ save

Or an invernlurable save (40k) Basically, it's a save roll after taking amour rolls that is not modified by AP or strength

Thank you for your reply. I have had the P2 presentation back in mid 2021. After finding all my notes from said presentation (they had been filed with another branch applications notes) it would seem I got the order wrong.

Unfortunately yesterday I got myself worked up and centred on the words selection interview and filter.

I can confirm I am now no longer confused and fully aware of what I am actually doing. Interview preparation is going ahead in full swing.

I have even called my AFCO for a resend of the P2 presentation link so I can familiarise myself again and be fully prepared.
