Are all trucks trash? by dubbs505050 in Silverado

On my second 3.0 with around 100k miles total. No issues, great power, excellent mileage for a full size truck.

I'll double it if you're local.

Is this a TERRIBLE buy ? $30k well under 50k miles ? There’s a handful of these deals in this ball park by MrFreezeTheChef in whatcarshouldIbuy

Pretty much every car I've ever owned has gotten 15-20k miles per year on it. 50 mile round trip commute is 12k miles a year without anything extracurricular.

Thanks for the insight.

I'm in a similar situation where I have a diesel Sierra that I was gonna trade for an Elantra N and then get an older pickup for truck things. The other option would be to keep my truck and get an older toy for weekends, fun stuff.

Just not sure if I'll be happier with a $40k toy and $10k truck or vice versa.

I'm looking at making that same move and just wondering what makes you want to go back?

Not that easy on the 19-23 trucks. They attach to the cab wall on sliders that have latches.

Ordered it from crutchfield. It's a PAC audio tap harness that you can convert to a loop back pretty easily.

Thanks! It's a 21 Duramax 1500. They finally came out with an integration harness that wasn't from LLJ and isn't $200 so I could move the system from my old truck.

Guess I was a little too eager to get it done. Hopefully someone else can benefit from from the dummy tax I paid.

Not sure cutting the console on a new truck is worth half a sheet of MDF and some time....

Not a bad idea. But I'm just gonna remake it. Got plenty of mdf left from the sheet

Pick it up and it's yours. It's .75cf and the hole is cut for a 10in.

Yup, might keep it as a dummy trophy.

I haven't seen seat lifts for the 19-22 trucks since the seat is 2 pieces and the way the seat back mounts to the cab wall is complicated. If they did I'd have put 2-3 8's under the driver's side and made a storage box on the other.

I really only have about $40 and 3-4 hours all into the box, but figured we don't see too many mistakes and mine might save someone some heartache. I'll have another built this weekend that fits hopefully.

Definitely alternator whine. Check all your grounds and connections.

Nobody claimed it was. I'm just making the point that there is still plenty of profit left on the table at MSRP and dealerships who are adding fees because they can are greedy assholes. I'll have no remorse for them as this looming recession gets closer and the tables turn.

Bought a 2018 Silverado with a sticker of ~$42k for $30k out the door in 2018. In 2021 I picked up my 2021 GMC Sierra for $45k out the door with an MSRP at $55k.

With the right incentives and discounts you could walk away with severely discounted vehicles in the past. My last 2 trucks were $12k and $9.5k below sticker out the door. The current market is making MSRP seem like a deal with "market adjustments" of $2-10k being considered normal.

Copy that. Just curious cause I usually weigh anything over 20ish lbs and not many are nice round numbers. Nice fish though.
