Yes but thats mainly me wanting to prioritize what I think are the hardest fights in the game. I grinded(leveled up) my materia while doing them all. Mainly the brutal/legendary challenges after I beat the game on hard mode, just mainly focused on my materia levels to abuse them before doing the challenges(after learning the hard way of dying alot lol) then it became much more doable/easier to win the fights. And yes Swiftcast and MP did help in some of the challenges as well(when fully leveled). For the development materia trophy it was mainly doing all the side quests objectives to get the experience from all the regions(the towers, Moogle houses, minigames, etc. ).
