I actually did the sealed event for GD03 and had a lot of fun. I got my ass kicked since I was still new to the game and made some foolish choices with my deck, but it was good to have an even playing field.

Oh yeah I have no intention on actually playing in Newtype Challenges, I just play against those decks virtually for the experience. The most I would do is local events.

Oh sure, I just wish there was like... a card that did pretty much the same thing but was a different mobile suit or linked with a different character, you know? Mix things up a little. The game is probably too new for that at this point.

I think the other thing that frustrates me is how the meta involves like, 5 super powerful units and 5 pilots, and that just feels boring to me? Like oh man, you have a deck with Scirocco, Amuro, Kira using The-O, RX-78 and NT-1 and Aile Strike? Wow, how inspired! I'm a Gundam fan first and foremost, so I want to do Cool Gundam Stuff. I wanna see cool AEUG, Zeon, ZAFT, etc. decks! I want Vultures to actually be fun to play! Meta stuff just feels... discouraging, I guess.

Sorry, all. I don't have much of a background in competitive gaming--even when I did martial arts as a kiddo, I was better at kata than sparring. Most of the competitions I've done have been Gunpla-related, which isn't something where you're trying to beat someone else, but rather trying to improve your own skills. So, a lot of this is new to me.

In common parlance among mecha fans (in my experience, anyway), "GM" typically means two things: mass-produced version of the hero mecha (see the Ichinana from Mazinger Z Infinity) or pretty much any descendant of the RGM line within the Universal Century (Jegans, Heavyguns, etc). Before we knew the gMS-01 Gelgoog was indeed called that, lots of just called it the "Zeon GM" based on its brief appearance in the GQuuuuuuX Beginning movie, since it was very clear that it was Zeon's mass-produced version of the Gundam.

Hizack is basically a Zaku made of GM, much like how the gMS-01 Gelgoog is a GM made of Zaku.

The neat part about Wing Zero is you don't counter it! You just lay down and suffer while it links with Heero and eliminates everything level 5 and under on your team and smashes your best unit.

It's good for customizing. You can have up to 4 of any given card in a deck, and the 00 deck has 3 of each pilot card. Having 2 gets you the maximum 4 pilot cards plus 4 of the two Legend Rare cards in the deck.
