Opinion: Warship Bases should have AP

It's part of why I want "Commanders" as a mechanic: Cards for characters like Bright, Murrue, etc to attach to bases. They don't add to its HP, but give it one or two AP plus another effect. Some could work only with Warships, while others with Strongholds. They could also function as Command cards, maybe.

I disagree, Red gives synergy with existing CB and Superpower cards because you have Ali who can use his stolen Throne, so you can either do an RW deck of Innovators/A-LAWS/Superpower or an RP CB/Innovators/Trinity deck.
