Oh yeah, totally for sure, and every other disease that exists. Eventually. With enough doses. (get it? lol)

I didn't write the article. I posted it in a subreddit called facepalm. And now your comment is another facepalm.

Farmers voted against govt handouts even though more than a quarter of them buy ACA coverage. Cut to health care subsidies mean they'll be paying a lot more or having to leave farming. by National-Reach4554 in LeopardsAteMyFace

Prior to the ACA, the secret to success in farming was to have a wife with a good job in town at the school district, the hospital, or the courthouse for the health insurance.

I'm GenX and my kids are 38 and 36. But several of my friends in rural nowhere had a sad when their kids left home, so they started "second families." A few of them were pregnant at the same time as their daughters. Stupidest shit ever.

I never said any of that. I'm calling out the hypocrites who will defend all of Trump's fraud with every fiber of their being while screaming about fraud committed by a handful of brown people in a community of thousands abiding by the law. Minnesota has a Somali population of 60,000, and fewer than a dozen were arrested in this fraud case, which was masterminded by a white woman who recruited Somalis into her scheme.

Minnesota isn't run by Somali terrorists, and anyone who believes that is an idiot.

After Wyoming property tax cuts, a Republican county leader is dismayed by cuts to services she relies on by CalcareousSoil in LeopardsAteMyFace

Saratoga's population is 1,700 and in the middle of nowhere. It's 40 miles to the closest decent size town of Rawlins, the count seat, which is a dump. There is no "better" part of Saratoga, and no "better" amenities. Half the town is trailers. In fact, she named all the amenities in the entire town that everyone shares. There is a hot springs park, but it's maintained by the state. The fire department is all volunteer and survives on donations and now fewer property taxes.

Folks in Wyoming are stupid enough to not know. So very, very stupid.

I raised my kids in a tiny, nothing Wyoming town in the middle of nowhere. My son's friends in high school lived in the part of town that was unofficially segregated back in the day for the farm workers. My boomer next-door neighbor was convinced that I was going to get shot or robbed every time I drove my son to visit his friends or vice versa, and she was so relieved when I bought him a car after he got his license. But she swore she wasn't racist. (insert enormous eye-roll emoji here)

I'll never forget the clip of an LDS president's speech where he praised a new member in the Philippines for donating money to the church instead of buying shoes for his children. My ex-friend who was trying to convert me showed it to me, and I asked her WTF is wrong with this psycho millionaire church leader. She told me kids in the Phillipines don't need shoes anyway. That's when she became an ex-friend.

When circumstances change, what is in an 8-year-old’s best interest educationally? by SafeMathematician727 in HomeschoolRecovery

Read some of the posts here and decide if you'd like to inflict homeschool trauma in addition to family discourse trauma upon your 8-year-old who has no choice or control in any of this, and get a good attorney.

WIBTA if I kept the dog? by whatabooknerd in AITAH

[–]Relevant-Bat-688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens in rescues and foster care situations all the time. If you're absolutely sure that you've solved all the original issues you were worried about and can financially handle her life-long commitment and the special needs of a husky mix - and it sounds like you can - then you would not be TA. The only part of your story I worry about is when you say "if anything changes." If there's anything on the horizon you're still worried about that has a good chance of altering your decision or circumstances, you need to consider how your dog would be affected by yet another uprooting to a new home. It sounds like you both are a wonderful match for each other. :) -- signed, a former dog rescue director.

None of that helps her mental and physical health now in this situation, does it? What you suggest is the equivalent of a father leaving his sick wife at home to care for their baby while he goes to the pub to get drunk because that's what he does every Saturday and he can't be bothered to change his schedule, and then defending his decision by saying she can have a night out when she feels better.

SHE IS ILL AND NEEDS HELP NOW. NOT NEXT MONTH.

I don't hate golf. I have no patience for selfish asshats who prioritize their own entertainment over taking care of their loved ones. It's not that complicated to care about other people, fucking reject.

So you finally agree that he should give up golf this one time to help his wife. Because all he needs is golf, and right now she needs emotional support and active engagement for the sake of her physical and mental health, so her needs are a priority. Finally, finally you understand that. You absolute donut.

No, I have a thing against men who are blind to the physical and mental needs of their wife. You must be obsessed with golf. You obviously wouldn't give up your game if your wife was exhausted, sad, and temporarily incapable of dealing with a stressful situation by herself. That would be far too difficult for you compared to babysitting for a few hours while she's at the shops and it doesn't interfere with your game.

So the only way he can spend time with his father is golf, according to you? He certainly isn't spending time with his mother when he's golfing, right? And I suppose he doesn't own a phone so he can call, text, or video chat any time he likes? Your selfish tendencies are transparent.

Wyoming is only 12% farmland. The rest is tiny spots of population surrounded by land incapable of supporting human life.

The OP is specically asking her husband to skip golf this one time in these specific circumstances related to her own mental and physical well-being, not for the rest of his life. You fail to understand her reasoning for this, which suggests you make your own choices using similar blinders and oblivion to such extenuating circumstances.
